Kitchen Inspection

One of our all important jobs is kitchen inspection. Don’t get us wrong – we really prefer to help cook dinner. For some reason, though, the humans let us go outside and play while they cook dinner. What is up with that? Anyway, after dinner is complete, we come inside to make sure that clean up is going well.

Found a spot that might require some extra cleaning.

mac and cheese

Homemade macaroni and cheese. Now that might require a closer inspection, but hu-dad is muttering that “no” word.

Koda says…..”oh man and you were just trying to help out huh”. My mom uses that no word all the time too but I ignore it all I can.”

Misha says….”I’m 12 and short legged so counter surfing is something I’ve never done but sure looks fun. And I’m definately the queen in this house and I remind my humans constantly that they are only here to tend to my every whim. And remind them a lot too like right now it’s bedtime treat time and hu-mom is on her phone!…..hmmm woof that will get her attention.”

    Have fun tomorrow friends

Mom sez: Yes, I’m all too familiar with Husky Counter Surfing, too. When Ayla was younger, she’d surf the counter every chance she got, but she soon learned that wasn’t acceptable, but when she knew there was something there that she thought should be hers, (like a thawing bone, maybe) she’d sit at the counter and moan — and moan — and MOAN until she finally got her treat. It’s strange, because when Ice joined the family, he just picked up from her, and we NEVER had to worry about anything on the counter! They just automatically seemed to know it was “out of bounds”, but that sure didn’t stop the moaning! Ice still does it.
