Foto Friday – A Guest Photographer

Traveling together as a Herd, we attract many interesting people. In fact, we once met a movie star who was in one of the most quoted movie scenes ever.  But it is not often that we get a guest photographer!

While traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway, we met Meryl Meyer who owns Portrait of My Pet.  She emailed some photographs she took to the hu-dad.  With her permission, we are sharing her wonderful pictures of us.

That is pretty cool! I think she captured The Herd beautifully!

Ayla sez: Isn’t “Someone” missing here? How come QNTE wasn’t included in this photo op? Oh, the indignity of it all. Will she ever live down missing this opportunity?

A Shark Attacked My Best Friend

June 20, 2025 - In honor of the 50th anniversary of the theatrical debut of the movie Jaws, the film that was the inspiration for these events, D. K. Wall recorded the story in audio and video. The original story was posted on October 9, 2022.

A shark attacked my best friend when I was 11. His screams were awful. The silence that followed was worse. I was alone in the ocean.

Enjoy it your way
