Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
I amb all about training the hu-beebs. I go inteu my kennel… “my little reum” … fur all kinds ob reasons and I deu lubbs it there, butt I gotta ask… Deus each herd member haff hiss own little reum teu call hiss/her own??? Inquiring mind whants teu know!
wif lubbs from Little Reufus
Yes, Dear Reufus, each member of The Herd has their own room outside AND they each have their own room inside. To help them figure it out, their names are on their crates.
You guys have it down to a fine art! Love it! What a cute bunch you have!!!
BOL – that is cute!
Sam
Wow, we are SO going to have to try that! 🙂 Hope you had a yummy dinner!
That’s really great that they all go into their crates for meal time. Frankie’s photo is so funny as it really seems like he’s wishing for supper to be served.
Enjoy the treats, everyone! Now we got to get ours…
Love,

Wow, Q closes his door, too? How long before actual supper time does
Frankie start with the hints? When I put Zoe’s food in her bowl after we eat supper, she herds me to the kitchen counter in case I’d like to add any leftovers.
Well, the photographer might have had to shut Q’s door to get the required picture.
Frankie has been known to start the pre-supper dance a couple of hours early.
They are So cute! How come the Herd go into their crates to eat? I remember they used to just stay in separate rooms.
Mostly, life is just easier that way. When we moved house last fall, the set-up is different so they all eat outside on the decks. Just became a good habit to eat in crates at that point. We actually want them to be ready to eat wherever (eating in a campsite on a drop line, eating while out for a hike or run, or eating at home), but the crate allows a slower eater to take their time if they want.
Lmao! Great pic’s hu-dad. Normally my dog’s would be bugging early to eat, but lately my 16 year old cat Simba has been driving me crazy. I ussually feed them lunch any where from 11:30 to 1:00 depending on if I am busy doing stuff. For a few days Simba decided to start bugging me at 9:00am and with him being 16 we believe he has some hearing loss. He runs around the house everyday several times a day just a screaming. We don’t know why, but he has done this for years and he is getting louder and louder. It sounds like he is hurting his throat sometimes. So I know exactly how this goes. Hugs and kisses to the herd.
Ayla sez: There are only three of you wanting supper? Well, I see you finally wore the hu-Dad down! But where is the rest of the Herd? Where are Qannik, Frankie, and Kiska?
Ayla – The entire Herd is in the post. We are mixing it up and totally confusing you. Grins.
Frankie is pic 1,2, & 3.
Cheoah (Cheesewhiz) and Typhoon are pic 4.
Natasha, Kiska and Qannik (Q-Tip) are pics 5 & 6.
