Chez Herd Tour by Frankie – Guest Bedroom

Thank you to all of the great entries for the free copy of Let the Dogs Speak (if you do not know what we are talking about, please check out yesterday’s post).  You still have time to enter.  We will draw this weekend and announce the winner early next week.  In the meantime, we thought we would continue our tour of the new Chez Herd.

Last week, Frankie showed you our loft.  Now we will go to the end of that loft and visit one of the two guest bedrooms.  Hope you enjoy this week’s tour.

Welcome to the tour

Welcome to a guest bedroom!

Frankie is demonstrating one of the most important rules of a guest bedroom, no dogs on the bed. Something about some guests aren’t really fans of dog hair, blah, blah, blah.

Dog on bed

Yep, rules should always be obeyed. Unless you are a Siberian.

The guest bedrooms are on either side of the loft, so guests have a nice private part of the house to relax. But we can’t promise a Siberian hair free visit. Just saying.

Foot of bed

So let’s take the tour to this end of the bed, er, room.

The windows at the foot of the bed face due East, so you are greeted with the sun rising over the mountains in the distance. And, yes, a great view of the Tree of Life.

Seating area

A perfect place to curl up with a Siberian, er, a book and relax.

Bathroom

Each bedroom has its own full bath. And, yes, we love the shower curtain.

But let’s go back to the most important part of the room.

Head buried in pillows

Mrmmph, mrrrmph, mmmrrph.

Oops

Oh, sorry, thought I left something there. Don’t worry about that.

Making the bed

Of course, any guests get to take advantage of the careful bed making skills of The Herd.

Bed Making Skills II

For some reason, the hu-dad does not always appreciate our efforts.

Thank you for coming along on another part of the tour of the new Chez Herd. Hope you enjoyed it. We will be back soon with another room.

Sleepy

If you don’t mind, I am going to nap, er, work here for a while.

Well that room looks so fabulous I think we would like to book it for the month of June please. By then Sitka will be partially done blowing his coat & not add nearly as much fur as he would in early spring! I know we would just love to hang out in that awesome room with the herd!!!

WOW! Frankie, The Heard may very well be the best housed canines ever! My folks have given up on the poodle fuzz and covered everything in dark blue sheets and for some reason they keep getting washed just when they are beginning to smell good.

Really nice room, Frankie! Zoe says one of her favorite things to do is snooter between the pillows.

Who would possibly be invited to visit who didn’t love dogs? I’m sure any guest there will appreciate the room, and the dog hair amenities!

    Oh very nice!

    Frankie
I know a certain Norwegian Elkhound that also loves to rearrange pillows to her specifications and she has a large throw pillow behind the sofa she attacks.

    Great job

Mum wants to know if she is allowed to come and visit. She doesn’t mind sharing the bed with Frankie.

Ayla sez: Frankie, you make a fantastic tour guide. As I’ve said before, at our house, the hu-Mom and Dad’s bed is the ONLY one we’re allowed to get up on, and my own Dad, Ice, just gave a good example of why last week. He tried to make a nest out of the quilt on their bed, and guess he needs a manicure (“peticure”?), because he ripped three big long tears in the quilt. Hu-Mom & Dad had to buy a new one because a couple of the tears were beyond repair, they said, and all the stuffing was coming out. Ice was on their “you-know-what” list for a couple of days after that. Anyway, you sure have a beautiful house to show off, and we’re all looking forward to seeing more of it.

Wow. I don’t get it, Frankie, but we aren’t allowed on the beds in our guest rooms, either. What’s up with that?

If you don’t like Siberian hair, don’t visit Chez Herd! LOL! Love the shots of Frankie trying to dig a nest on the bed. Fabulous shower curtain (and all the rest, too, of course). 🙂

WOW! What a lovely room. Who does one call for reservations at Chez Herd???

    • Elmo & Mouse on February 7, 2013 at 10:51 am

I second that. I’d like to reserve the room please!! And could I bring 2 4-legged guests with me too?

Oh I want to come stay with you guys for a while and I sleep with dogs, but my nickname is elmira from tiny toons. Lol I just want to hug you and love you and kiss you and squeeze you. My husband always say when we are out hiking in the woods we never have to worry about meeting wild animals like bears. I would scare them off because I would want to love them. Lmao I really love animals. I would have a farm and a zoo if I could. You did a great job with the decorating. I love it and want to curl up on the bed with all the dogs lol. Hugs and kisses to the herd.

It looks lovely. I really like the furniture!

Thanks for the great tour Frankie. Good thing there’s a comfy place for a nap after work, eh? It was nice of you to let the human-dad “share” in your post.
