The End of the Rain . . . Maybe

Ski

To say it was a rainy Tuesday would be an understatement. We had over 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) of rain. Here, you can not even see Cataloochee Ski on the next ridge.

Ski

So when the sun popped out late afternoon and we could finally see the ski resort, we decided we had better take advantage.

Walk

Nothing like a long walk after being cooped up in the house for 24 hours.

Clouds

But as we neared the half way point – and longest distance back to the house – the clouds began rolling back in.

Hemphill Bald

Here, you can barely see Hemphill Bald – and our house is in that direction. This would be the point when the rain returned.

Kiska

Kiska wants everyone to know that she got a little wet.

Kiska 2

Don’t you wish this was a scratch and sniff picture?

ROTFL at the scratch and sniff photo! We’ve had that smell here too for two days.

Hopefully that 2.5 inches of rain will be 2.5 feet of snow in a few months.

(Ayla sez) Nothing clears the sinuses as well as the smell of “Wet Sibe on a hot day, in a closed vehicle”. Even having the windows down doesn’t help, unless you’re on the open road, going 60 mph!

You should have brought some shampoo. Would have been a quick wash and rinse for the pups.

We had 3.5″ so we have our own skhratch and sniff in place – but we have the addition of eau du Golden!

Looks like you all certainly got wet alright!

We don’t like the smell of wet dog one little bit in this house!

Hope you all dried out quickly!!
