Mountain Lion

This post is dedicated to our dear friends over at Romping and Rolling in the Rockies.  KB is always posting pictures of Mountain Lions and other creatures, so we thought we would share our own pictures today.  These rare pictures were captured very near our house as we were out for an evening walk.  WARNING – The following may be too intense for young pups.

Walking

We were simply out for our evening stroll and minding our own business . . .

B&W

When the black and white team suddenly alerted on the ferocious beast blocking our road – between us and the safety of our house.

Sitting

The beast was staring into the woods, no doubt locked in on its prey for the evening.

Looking

The intensity soared when it suddenly turned and stared right at us.

Standing

It rose slowly to its towering height preparing for the fight, the muscles rippling among the magnificent animal.

scampering

Obviously, the giant feline had heard of us and decided wisely that the best course of action was retreat, and so it scampered off.

QNTE

Queen Natasha the Evil celebrated the victory in her usual way, by chomping on the nearest victim.

Looks just like one of KB’s mountain lions, huh?  We had another brush with a different ferocious animal, but we will save that post for later this week. Stay tuned.

Both my dogs would have taken off, dragging me with them. Your team exhibited enormous control right there. Sometimes it’s best to stand your ground.

Ice ‘n Ayla would’ve been in hot pursuit, too.

Bwaaaaaa ha ha! Oh, I’m betting this stirs up a lot of laughter at KB’s house. Herd, you are truly fearless with nerves of steel!

We have a moutain lion living with us. Bruce tries and tries ti defeat it all the time, but mom yells at him a lot cus the creature is old. He is 15 and even though the creature still kicks up a good fight bruce is just way to big to play too rough with him. Lol we just bought our new house in april and we have a lot of skunks around here and i’m just waiting for them to get skunked. Oh what a mess that would be.

Too funny! Unfortunately, at Parker’s Pooch Manor, that ferocious beast would have been on the dinner menu! Glad to see that the Herd is safe from the any stray big cats.
