When our county seat, Waynesville, has a festival, they have an ordinance that prohibits animals. So we just hung out at home while the humans went to the festival.

This year’s festival includes performers from New Zealand, Belgium, France, Indonesia, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Serbia and Hawaii – so colorful outfits on our streets are common.
If you want to learn more about this 28 year old festival, please click here. The festival continues through next weekend, so there is plenty of time to catch some amazing performances.
Oh, by the way, the hu-dad says he wouldn’t take us in the middle of a crowded festival even if we were allowed. Something about he could only imagine the number of pockets we would pick.

I cannot believe your hu-dad does not have trust in you. I don’t see any pocket pickers here at all!! Nope, all 24 feet are clean. And with 6 cute faces like yours, who could resist you? 🙂
Pockets picked….. food stolen….. and don’t get me started on those kids that would pull your tail!
I think the six of you being allowed to attend the festival would add great excitement to it!
I’m a big fan of taking my dog everywhere. But I have to agree with your town’s law. It makes my heart sink to see people walking their dogs through crowded festivals where they can get stepped on or worse.
Sorry there are no dog pix. But it looks like a fun time.
That sounds like a wonderful festival. Tell the Hu-dad you will all happily stay home as long as there is a long hike and some good tasty treats when he gets back.
Woos – Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
That doesn’t seem right! Pups should be allowed everywhere!

You guys pick pocket? Never! Ok unless there was meat or treats in them and that’s just asking for it. Hugs and kisses to the herd.
Maybe you could’ve got “special status”, and hired on as Security. Then you could’ve CAUGHT any pick-pockets there may have been lurking around. Maybe the hu-Dad could look into that for next year.
You, pickpocket? No! I can’t believe it!
That festival looks awesome!
