Snow – Sort Of

Frankie

Can you see it? Come on. Look close. On Frankie's black fur.

How about an out of focus close-up? The flecks of white? Yep, this winter, that actually counts as snow.

Cataloochee Ski

Our neighbors at Cataloochee Ski might be making a lot more man-made snow than we were having natural snow.

Tree

Our poor field still does not show any of the great white stuff.

The irony is that we went under a Winter Weather Advisory Sunday night for 2-3 inches of snow overnight, but that will not be anywhere near enough to keep the hu-dad home to play with us. It will all be melted before he is back home.

We got snow yesterday, about 3 inches and it’s pretty much all gone today! Very little snow this winter and any that did fall was gone within 3 or 4 days. Only had to scope the sidewalks once this winter. Way short on normal moisture going into spring.

But, hey, snowflakes count as snow, even if it’s only a few!

We like our snow to be on the mountains in the far distance.

That seems to be the story of our winter, too; we’ve only been getting 4-6 inches at a time, which is not enough for Mom to call in a snow day (her boss will let her work from home when we got 10+ inches of snow, or it is blizzarding)… *sigh*

I think it’s gonna be a really dry summer.

That was our night last night, too! Sorry you missed the snow again!

We don’t have much either, but we have a bit more than that! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
