A Walk on the Trashy Side
June 4, 2023
Maybe my neighbors didn’t notice, but I took a walk on the trashy side last week and need to confess my mistake.
Way Back Wednesday
Each week, we reach back into our vault of over 4,700 previous posts and share a favorite. We hope you enjoy this look back.
We Had A Little Snow
Our winter may have been mild so far, but, like much of the east coast, we had a little snow this week. And so we had a little fun.
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. 🙁
Beautiful! Just beautiful! Can’t say anything more than that.
Biloxi and siber sibs
I couldn’t post anything else after reading about Kodiak….had to cry and hug my 2 sibe babies and told them what happened to K.
The tree is a wonderful place for Kodiak since it has been such a special place for you and the herd.
It’s good to see you back! I thought about you and what you were up to while I was at the beach. I think you chose a perfect place for him!
Sorry it took me so long to find this. What a sweet tribute. I’d imagine the tree will grow even more beautiful thanks to Kodiak.

Welcome back! As the wind will always blow, Kodiak will always be remembered 😉
That looks like an awesome place for Kodiak’s resting place. We know how you feel, I have the hardest time watching our other dogs go through the grief process. Please know I am thinking of you guys and the rest of the herd. Remember all your great memories of Kodiak and take it one day at a time. Sniffs, The HoundDogs
Look forward to reading your new adventures and think you have found a fine spot.

Perfect place. Amen.
A perfect place. And while we will always be sad at a loss, the rest of the animals in our lives remind us that life does continue on. We are sending purrs for your continued adventures. 🙂
Never, ever forgotten. He’s part of your heart and every member of the Herd’s heart.
Your tree looks beautiful, and like a very peaceful place for Kodiak’s ashes.
Absolutely the perfect spot for Kodiak’s ashes! The tree will be so amazingly beautiful when the leaves are all red. We will never forget you Kode Red!
Licks & Nibbles,
Kody & Nia
Oh what a perfect place for that big red boy! He’ll always
be there watching over your beautiful tree and field and waiting for your visits.
And remembered with love by so many.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Just as Kodiak would have wanted and expekhted!
Oh, Kodiak — sadly missed, but never forgotten. Run, run, run, wild and free across the fields and through the woods you loved so much.
Me’n Ice will miss you when our hu-Mom reads about the Herd.
What a beautiful place…for a beautiful soul. Thank you for letting us in your lives…and introducing us to the big hearted Kode red….
No doubt the red leaves will shine even brighter next to Kode Red. He does live on in our hearts and memories. We will all miss Kodi at Wild Dingo and think of him often. Especially when Juno is having one of her her “love on a human moment.” Big hugs to the entire herd, 4- and 2-legged.
we will all miss Kodiak, but we will also remember all the good times you’ve had together.
RIP Big Red
wags, wiggles & slobbers
God Bless and hope everyone is ok. It saddens me to think of big Kode Red. Yes, Kodiak will love where his ashes will be and with fall in the air it is perfect.
Let those loving memories keep your heart full when there is a big part of it that seems missing. He is still there, and always will be.
Holly & Khady
Oh Kodiak. What a perfect place to be laid to rest. With the beautiful red leaves waiting for your arrival. The tree brought on the tears with those red leaves. A wonderful place of rest for an awesome pup.
