Squirrel

We may have done a post about Squirrels for Peace once, but the reality is that we rarely get squirrels up near our house.  For whatever reason – altitude, predators, whatever – they simply do not venture much around us.  So when the dogs alert on a walk, we are looking for a lot of creatures – but not this:

Kiska - Whoa! What is that creature in front of us?

Look at that beady eyed creature!

Hey – for us, that is strange wildlife!

Really? We see squirrels a lot around here.

I wish the squirrels near me were that tiny and cute looking! ours are small-cat sized and feisty… I would be alarmed if Gwynn tried to eat one, it’d probably gouge his eyes out and body slam him, lol.

Duh. If I was a squirrel, a raccoon or a herd of deer, I think I’d avoid your place. I mean, I’m sure the wildlife in you neck of the woods have posted signs warning about you! 😉 However, if you’d like to see some squirrel, we’ve got PLENTY of them we could send to you…

Same here, we rarely see a squirrel in or near our yard, probably because the trees are all small. We do see them on our walks and they are reddish brown ones. Mom says she grew up only seeing gray ones on the East Coast. We don’t care what color they are, but we sure don’t like them.

Maybe woo want to share your address with the humans around here that want to get rid of theirs?

We have the same attitude about squirrels, me and Zkhat. She sits in the bedroom window watching for them and notifies us when she sees one.

But my Mom wants rid of the 870 bunnies who live around here and nibble away at all the plants. Is there any of you we could send these to? We’ll pay postage.

    Kisses,
    Stella

Too funny. Our dogs snap to attention when the squirrels jump from the trees to the deck rail. If we even say the word “squirrel” they go on full alert.

Funny, we don’t have squirrels either, not that Cabana would care. She has zero prey drive.

We’d be happy to pack up a box of squirrels and send them your way, Herd! They are fascinating little creatures!

OMG – I would worry about suddenly being hauled down the road after it! BOL!

That’s kind of surprising. We used to have squirrels all over the place, now for some reason we barely see any. It’s been a boring summer around here not being able to chase the little critters.

    Well, did you get it???
