This Week's Thundering Herd Special Features
Weekly thoughts from our Hu-Dad with the latest updates on his writing projects, the books he's reading, and a gratuitous dog photo of us.
A Walk on the Trashy Side
June 4, 2023
Maybe my neighbors didn’t notice, but I took a walk on the trashy side last week and need to confess my mistake.
Way Back Wednesday
Each week, we reach back into our vault of over 4,700 previous posts and share a favorite. We hope you enjoy this look back.
We Had A Little Snow
Our winter may have been mild so far, but, like much of the east coast, we had a little snow this week. And so we had a little fun.
That is the perfect photo! 🙂
Can’t argue with that! Sarge’s if we win, please.
We love the Thundering Herd and want you to know that the Golden Retriever Rescue of Houston love you all!
It sure is!!!
Good sign. Since we don’t have a “pet” rescue of our own, we would like to put our paws in for Golden Retriever Rescue of Houston in your 1000 post contest. Wow, mom says she can’t imagine that many. Good for you.
Tucker and Daisy.
Very appropriate sign. Great way to celebrate your upcoming 1,000th post.
We feel so fortunate to be able to say that it is a wonderful life for us here too.
Another shoutout for the Joplin Humane Society.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Indeed, it is!!! And we so appreciate your including publicity and the chance for some cash for some of those organizations who have provided second changes, reversal of circumstances… and Wonderful Lives for so many!
with love from the Bleu (and the rowdy Reufus of course)
Golden Retriever Rescue of Houston… grrh.org
We want to add a vote for Husky Camp and we have to agree that it is a wonderful life and that Remy is a picnic table hog too and would dare the ranger to tell him to get off.
MaPaw! MaPaw! MaPaw!!!
I think it’s a wonderful life, too. And it would be even better if we were allowed on the furniture!
Those two look pretty happy on the couch there. I’m voting for the Australian Animal Protection Society again.
Adopt-a-Husky does great work in the IL/WI area! Hmmm…noticing a plethora of husky rescues in your list 🙂
Throwing our support to Joplin Humane Society..again. Hoping the animals are getting the help they need along with the humans..
We would like to cast our vote for the Quad Cities Greyhound Adoption. We are supporting our friend Bunny and her clan. Sniffs, The HoundDogs
Oregon Greyhound Adoption – present. :o)))
I would like to suggest Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals.
Wow, I didn’t even know about Texas Husky Rescue! Gotta vote for them, as they are just a few cities away! Good to know about them!
That is a great sign. I also love my humans couches.
Gotta throw out another vote for Taysia Blue!
They look so impressed by that sign! lol
We vote for Quad Cities again!
Yes it is!
Especially since we get to lounge whilst the humans go out in search of kibble $ –
Okay, time fur me to throw Whitney’s B&B into the mix
That sign really nails it! I’m voting for the Joplin Humane Society tonight.
Shout out to Dawne and Southern Siberian Rescue! Do they get bonus votes because they are in NC with woo??
We are grateful for the human and dog friends we have made because of Tails of the Tundra Siberian Husky Rescue.
–Rubi, Holly and Sprite
This group is awesome – in 2 years they’ve saved 250 huskies, far surpassing their original goal. And many of their dogs were sick or terminal, or had such severe behavioral problems that even the so-called “no kill” shelters didn’t know what to do with them. Love this group!!! And since they operate on a shoestring budget, every little cent counts!
It is indeed a wonderful life. We’re counting our blessings here on the coast – no tornados, no floods, just a lot of rain & a little sunshine now & then. We donated to the Joplin Humane society tonight, so I guess that will be our daily submission.
