A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.

The only time I do that on a hike is when anudder dog be coming coz I so like to make new furrends!
It looks like The Herd showed remarkable restraint! Or was that before the howling and pogoing started? What was it, anyway?
I bet it’s something really good cuz you are ALL tuned in! Maybe a deer or other fun creature!

When we used to have Great Danes, many years ago, that alert expression meant “Oh no, dig in your heels and get a good grip on the leash – they are going to run!”. I sure hope your kids aren’t planning that!
