Snow Slide Hazard

Our regular readers are quite familiar with the world famous Cheoah Snow Slide,

And, yes, we still have enough snow in places for Cheesewhiz to practice her snow slides yesterday.

The problem is our field, which we walk on Sunday mornings, is totally lacking snow.

Apparently her collar is not conducive to grass sliding. Oops.

You’re welcome to *all* the snow we’ve had in Dallas this year. Ridiculous weather! I think I’m going to have to buy a snow shovel because when I need one, I really need it.

For those of you who’ve never lived in a warm climate: The first things people get rid of when they move down here are the snow shovel and the heavy coat. Problem is, we need them about once a year.

And yes, I know you think we’re silly about not driving on the snow and ice. But remember: snow tires are illegal (in TX anyway), we don’t put salt on the roads, and we don’t have snow plows.

I think it’s just a new fashion statement. The “natural” bling look!

Gizmo MUST lift up the duvet where it hangs off the end of the bed with his nose and then walk back and forth under it. Bart only does this when he is wet. Who knows why??

Maybe she’s getting ready to go as a scarecrow for Halloween! I guess you’ve gotta slide when the spirit says slide! 😛

Hey, when you gotta slide, you gotta slide. Phantom finds the edge of the sofa is a great substitute here.

Regardless of the consequences, you has to practice and stay in shape fur when you has snows again.

Surely there will be more snow? It just didn’t seem like a lot this year! Poor puppy! That is hilarious though. (Sorry, Cheoah!)

Poor Cheezewhiz! At least she is keeping her skills sharp, even if you have to clean the grass out of her collar.

A dog will do what a dog has to do!

In South Africa we have a saying:
    “‘n Boer maak ‘n plan!”
(translation: A farmer makes a plan!)
Cheeswiz will make a good farmer…and an honorary South African!
