A Whiff of Wildlife
January 29, 2023
An hour before sunrise. Darkness cloaked my path. Fear bubbled up inside me. A whiff of wildlife alerted me to a heinous stalker in the woods.
Way Back Wednesday
Each week, we reach back into our vault of over 4,700 previous posts and share a favorite. We hope you enjoy this look back.
Visit Millerton, a fictional small town near Asheville NC, via D.K. Wall's novels. Ordinary people. Extraordinary events.
I think Rusty normal is a lot like Zim normal.
Really.
Luv,
Dave
Looks like a really fun walk!
Sure Rusty likes it in his own way!

That Rusty just cracks me up! He’s such a hoot.
It has its own logic! We need more “thinking outside of the box!”
The world needs more Rustys!

That Rusty is just the neatest “furry kid”. He definitely is his own “Person”!
Oh Rusty, you defiantly march to your own drummer!
Rusty always gives a good chuckle. He must bring you many smiles and chuckles too.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Rusty walks to the beat of a different drummer and we loves him!!!
Bobo and Meja
I wish I could hear the drum beat Rusty walks to. It looks like a lot of fun!
No snows? Wow! Look at Rusty hug those turns! You’ve got NASCAR written all over you! Maybe you could get a great sponsor…like a noms sponsor!!
He knows he is the most unique and special among the herd!
I’d love to be as normal as Rusty! It looks like you have a secret agility dog on your hands. My dog, Acadia, who was a search and rescue dog had to do all sorts of crazy obstacle courses (more extreme than normal agility courses) – and she was like Rusty – she found the most difficult way to navigate during easy strolls. She even walked along the top of a fence once! (I’m not kidding! Sadly, I had no camera with me).
Rusty, I love how happy you look! Whatever Rusty normal is, I think it’s a good state of mind. I can’t imagine there are many dogs who enjoy life more than you!
well, at least he puts a paw out to check and make sure it’s safe or not… a pup never knows… he may be silly, but not stupid!
Well Rusty, we admire your pioneering spirit – why walk the same way as the rest of the pack!!!
love
Martha and Bailey xx
Wooo Rusty you sure know how to enjoy yourself. I too make my own path everyday 🙂
Looks like a great spot for some balance beam work 🙂
Sweet hugs,
Sierra Rose
