Sunday Morning Routine

We might be falling into a rut because every Sunday morning starts the same way.  But, frankly, we do not really want to change this particular routine.

The morning starts with a walk down our road.

At the end of the road, we enter the field which is centered by our favorite tree. We love how the mist was still hanging over the field this week.

At the end of the field, we watch the skiers and snowboarders for a while.

Well, the humans watch the skiers and snowboarders. We wrestle and play.

What is your favorite routine you do?

Your routine looks better than my routine.

My favourite Sunday routine is walking at the beach very early and watching the sunrise while sitting on the rocks. Then we head home and find out what all our fur-riends are doing through their blogs!

    Cheers,

We sit here and read your blog and look at your beautiful pups and all that snow, and dream we are there too:)

My favorite routine is sunrise runs at the Park with Dad…alone! Please stop by my blog and celebrate with me Tuesday and Wednesday…it is my 2000 post AND my 6th Barkday Comment-A-Thon!

My night time routine. It’s too long to describe here but I wrote about it on my blog once.

What a nice routine and great pictures. I have a question….with all that open land you have there, does the herd ever get to run around off leash? I know I don’t, not that I would run very far but my recall is awful.

My favorite routine is in the morning when the pups are still sleepy and oh so cute. 🙂

My whole life is a routine! I do the same things every day and while to speak of it, its pretty boring, I love it! Hanging out with my Mom, giving chase to Ali Z, answering the door, walkies, patroling my back yard. Two squares a day. A few treatz. Who could ask for anything moooooore!

Merry Christmas you Herd and Herders!

Just wondering…and I’m sure you’ve covered this somewhere, but to you ever get to go off-leash? What happens? Is it chaos or do you come when called? (OK I hear your dad laughing as I type this…) Just curious.

(we do get to go off-leash, but only one of us at a time…)

Yeah, I’m thinking ritual. It’s so beautiful and you all seem so grateful!

  14. Kristine on December 20, 2010 at 12:43 pm

I don’t think it counts as a rut if you are actually enjoying yourself. Too pretty for words!

It looks like you are all having so much fun. We, being wimps, have most of our Sunday fun inside. Snow to us is far away on the mountains.

Oh that is easy I gets my glucosamine pill after each meal – wrapped in CHEESE! So cheese is my favorite routine.

Wake up, lick Mom’s nose to wake her up, bark until she takes us outside (Abby on the front porch, me out back), come back inside, wrestle on the bed until we wake up Dad and Mom takes us both out back for some serious bitey face action! 😉

My routine is a lot like yours, except that I have Labs with me rather than Sibes!

  22. Stumpy and cyndi on December 20, 2010 at 8:15 am

That routine needs no fixing or changing!

  23. Houndstooth on December 20, 2010 at 8:01 am

It seems like a pretty good routine to me! I say, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it!

  24. Pamela on December 20, 2010 at 7:42 am

To the religiously inclined, that would be called a “ritual” instead of a “routine” and the walk might be considered “worship.” It certainly appears the Herd appreciates the beauty of the world.

  25. Terri Jacobson on December 20, 2010 at 7:33 am

I think your routine looks perfect.

Ice’s and my favorite routine is when we come in the house in the morning, we bug and bug “Uncle Kyle” ’til it’s time for him to leave for work, then he gives us each a DentaStix, and sends us outside again. Then in the evening, when our hu-Dad comes home from work, he starts getting our supper, and throws a handful of dry dog food across the carpet for me’n Ice, as an “appetizer” ’til our supper is ready.

    Why change perfection?
