Red Team Formation

Here is the red team in formation. Wait, where is our missing member?

Long time readers know exactly where Rusty the Rooster is.

He is walking in his favorite position.

Why would anyone think this is not normal?

Obviously the other two are a diversion while Rusty attempts to destroy the Death Star on his own.

Rusty walks to the beat of a different drummer! Is it legal in sled racing for there to be two pullers…and a pusher?

  4. Sage on December 9, 2010 at 10:27 pm

That’s hilarious! I bet that’s a good way to keep snow off Rusty’s face!!

  5. The OP Pack on December 9, 2010 at 9:31 pm

Maybe he was an elephant in his former life:)

We had no doubt where he was when we saw that first pic.

  6. Rachel on December 9, 2010 at 8:20 pm

So cute… I’m giggling audibly now.

  7. Sagira on December 9, 2010 at 8:14 pm

    Gotta love Rusty! 🙂

We’re struck wooless! Moo like to walk right up mom’s heels, in fact, she steps ON the back of mom’s flip flops someetimes, silly girl!

  9. Mimi & CC Cabana on December 9, 2010 at 5:34 pm

Talk about following in your footsteps!

  10. Sammie, Avalon and Mom on December 9, 2010 at 4:58 pm

OMD! Too funny! Sierra Rose’s Mom and I also use climber’s carabiners to anchor dogs to belt loops (or harness, if they are pulling that hard!) Rusty: you are too much!!! Making moms giggle!
    Hugs xoxoxo

Some handsome fellow has a cold nose. Or perhaps prefers pushin to pullin. Not sure… but I sure like the Rusty’s style!

    wif love from the Luke

  12. Ryker on December 9, 2010 at 4:21 pm

Looks like he is just trying to hide his red reindeer nose!

  13. Zoe on December 9, 2010 at 2:06 pm

He does that because he looooooooves his hu-dad!

  14. Kristine on December 9, 2010 at 12:54 pm

Rusty’s just smart and knows how to avoid that blowing snow. Others may laugh but that Sibe ain’t no fool.

  15. brooke & Darwin on December 9, 2010 at 11:38 am

hahaha so cute! He just wants to make sure you are protected from all sides!

  16. Stella on December 9, 2010 at 11:31 am

Cheowah slides, Rusty pushes. Little Siberian quirks of personality.

    Kisses,
    Stella

…Oops, it should have read: “I am NOW discarding…”

  19. MAXMOM on December 9, 2010 at 9:18 am

    Hey there Herd…
It’s so wonderful to see you all in snow again!
I am not formally discarding the saying, “Like a duck in water”. It is to be replaced with:
    “Like a Sibe in Snow!”
Sending lotsaluv to you all. Keep well.
MAXMOM IN ‘SUNNY’ AND ‘HOT’ SOUTH AFRICA!

Everytime I see Rusty doing that, I wonder where in their histories he and my R share a relative. They definitely do. Poking the nose into the back of the knees is routine for R too!

  21. Stumpy and Cyndi on December 9, 2010 at 9:04 am

Good plan, Rusty! Whenever Dad slows down, you’re there to give him that extra little oomph! PLUS you’ve got the windscreen and are closest to the treats! It’s a no brainer!

  22. HUSKYS RULE on December 9, 2010 at 8:21 am

Love the windscreen idea! Rusty … an original!!! We luv ya Rusty!!!!

Okay I will say it. RUSTY, THAT IS WEIRD!!! but funny and what happens if you stop suddenly? Does he knock into you?

Strange strange little pupster you are Rusty Roo, very very strange. Or, as the other person said–very very smart! Human shield, yo!

  24. Houndstooth on December 9, 2010 at 7:02 am

Rusty, you will always have a piece of my heart! I never get tired of seeing him do this. It cracks me up every time! I love how a lot of the time he has this huge grin on his face when he does it, too! You’ve made my morning a happy one!

  25. hisqueen on December 9, 2010 at 6:00 am

    Rusty’s personal wind screen..How convenient.
He looks like he gets in stride with Hu-Dad..
    Long live the Rusty Shuffle.

  26. priscilla on December 9, 2010 at 5:50 am

Rusty just wants to make sure everyone is okay!

  27. Wild Dingo on December 9, 2010 at 4:55 am

  28. Khyra on December 9, 2010 at 1:12 am
