Walking with Red Heads

Something about those red headed Siberian Huskies is just amusing, so today we feature pictures of the Saturday morning walk at Big Ridge State Park, where we are camping.

Ruby walking with determination (while Tartok plays in the leaves)

Rusty and Kodiak playing King of the Wall

Rusty recaptures the King title and knocks Kodiak off.

Kodiak is laughing because he got Rusty to look into the woods for something.

Love the red pics! We hope to one day have a red or two join our pack (their names are already selected, we just need some extra room!) I think the wall pic is my fave, although the “I’m king” one is quite amusing! Enjoy your walk, beautiful reds!

The redheads certainly seem to be full of personality! I’m glad to see that Rusty hasn’t lost his touch!

We went hiking with a three month old redheaded Sibe today. OMG! The cuteness! Well, at the beginning of the hike. By the end, he was so muddy and wet that his tail wouldn’t even stand up anymore!

We just love the interactions! Thanks so much for sharing Kiska’s story…your advice makes good sense and takes a little of the sting out of being rebuffed by Puff. I am making a first attempt right now as I work on the office computer, my back to her crate as she huddles against its far wall watching me.
