Special K

For all of you who follow the adventures of K, R and KB over at Romping and Rolling in the Rockies, you know that today is when K will have her toe amputated in a battle against bone cancer.  We have seen the Power of the Paw work for so many (and continue to strengthen so many others currently battling), so we are asking everyone to help us once again cross paws and send positive vibes.

K – This post is just for you.  We have been saving these pictures for a couple of weeks and decided that today was the day.

Natasha shows off her balance on a small rock.

The Red Team (L-R, Kodiak, Cheoah and Rusty) in a picture posted a few weeks ago showing how they emulate K and R's boulder stances.

The black and white team (L-R, Qannik, Kiska and Natasha) stand in solidarity with you, too.

Today is Veteran’s Day in the USA – a day when we pause to say thank you to all of the veterans who have served our country.  We share with you two videos – the first, an official video from the Department of Veterans Affairs.  The second is a terrific video from Terry Kelly and we wanted to share with everyone (we also saw our pal at Stumpy’s blog shared the same video).

A special shout-out to our hu-granddad – a veteran.  Thanks to all who have served.

Well, isn’t that tribute to K and her many wilderness poses a bright spot in a worry-filled day. We’ll continue to keep K and her whole family in our hearts.

I’ve had the honor of knowing and training with K, R, and KB in person. They are VERY, VERY special.

What beautiful pictures of the Herd on the rocks! Love the trio one! Thank you also for the Veterans Day tribute (and thank you to your Hu-grandad for serving). There is now a Veterans Day blog hop started by Murphy’s Law, if you’d like to pop back and add your site for a “hop along.” Thanks again for a great post.

    Hi Y’all,
    Thanks for stoppin’.
My Human Momma has R & K on her favorites. I’ve got my paws crossed for K, but Momma is doin’ her prayer thing.
Loved seein’ the snow in the Rockies.
Do y’all have cats there? We have bobcats and panthers here. Panthers are scary when they scream. We never see them, but we’ve heard them.
    Y’all come back now,

I love this post. Thank you so very much! I showed it to K before she left for surgery. She said that she LOVES the Herd, and is very proud to have them stand in solidarity with her. They gave her (and nervous me) extra courage to face the day.

Perfect title “Special K”. I love it!

Thank you, Herd! You are the best!
