Ruby Tuesday – Relaxation Techniques

While our cousins over at Chez Herd are out running sleds and hiking trails, we here at The Herd Annex enjoy our daily walks, but are really experts at napping.  And as the evenings cool, we have each found our perfect sleeping spots to capitalize on this cool fall air.

Tartok moves in front of the open sliding door, letting the cool breezes run over his fur.

Ruby goes for the slightly more comfortable approach.

I have never known a Ruby to NOT go for the more comfortable approach. 😉

Quinn has always been an across the door guy but I have been working hard to teach him the special qualities of comfy couches (with lots of pillows)…he is SLOWLY starting to see my point of view!

Our comment disappeared. Phantom loves to sit by the front door as you will see in our post today. And TD says the couch is the best place to lounge no matter what the season.

Phantom is in total agreement with Tartok – he loves to position himself right in front of the open front door. If we ever get our post done today, that is where you will see him.

TD says Ruby made a great choice. His sofa isn’t leather but it sure is comfy.

Ahhh, the cool weather approaches! We’ere loving it too, but we don’t got no stinkin’ couches to crash on, just the floor.

I feel like I need to go take a nap just watching them! They appear to have the right idea.

We’re really pulling for Luke, too!

  15. Sammie on October 19, 2010 at 11:41 am

Yes you certainly do know how to get a comfy “fix” for the nappies!!! Yaaawwwnnn! Think we’ll have to get into our spots now! We have been to visit da Luke and are cheering him on with pawsitive thoughts and Mimi’s lovely “Team” button.

  17. Anna the GSD on October 19, 2010 at 9:43 am

That’s quite impressive! It looks like it took years of hard work and practice to get those positions down! Good job!! 🙂

  18. KB on October 19, 2010 at 9:24 am

Dogs are the experts at relaxation, aren’t they? I bet that even the Herd sleeps well after a run! Here, with winter approaching fast, it’s hard to imagine choosing a spot in front of an open door for a nap!

I’m sending my strong support to Luke too!
