Sarge’s Downtown Dog Walk – 2010 – The Pictures!

Yes, we have our pictures from the Downtown Dog Walk with Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation.  The pictures of us walking with the banner are all provided courtesy of Sarge’s:

Once again, this was an incredibly fun day and we were truly honored to lead the parade this year.  Amazingly, we have no stories to share because The Herd was on their absolute best behavior.  Maybe it was having two police dogs march behind us?  Anyway, the people at Sarge’s do a fantastic job helping literally thousands of dogs and cats get out of our local shelter and find new forever homes.  Please, wherever you live, support your local rescue(s)!

Tomorrow, we will let you know how much money was raised and announce the prize winners from our Walking with The Herd contest.

The Herd looks wonderful! I’m sure they were the talk of the town and the envy of all. It was fun to see all the different breeds looking dapper in their green kerchiefs.

You humans are so very talented, three dogs each AND one hand on the banner – great job. Beautiful slideshow, so many gorgeous dogs. It looks like Ruby and Tartok had a great time too. We loved the marching photo of Rusty.

I was already thinking about joining my local SPCA’s walkathon. Those great pix decided me–it looks like lots of fun!

  22. KB on August 18, 2010 at 8:40 am

Could you please send those police dogs out here? We could use some discipline around here 🙂

I can’t believe that Rusty the Rooster didn’t have a prank planned. Wonders never cease!!!!!

Congrats on the great honor of leading the parade!

  23. Zoe on August 18, 2010 at 8:34 am

  25. Houndstooth on August 18, 2010 at 8:07 am

You guys look great! I didn’t see one unhappy dog in the whole video. Is it possible that The Herd went home tired for a change? Heck, you even saw Greyhounds there, you must have seen just about everything!

  26. Pip on August 18, 2010 at 8:02 am

Oh, these are so great! Thanks for sharing. Almost feel like I was there!

    Woot!!
Well done on your walkie! Police doggies are kinda scary but you guys did a great job!

  30. Mr Koda MD on August 18, 2010 at 1:35 am

Those policedoggies can be formidable creatures… good to hear you were on your best behaviour so you weren’t subject to their wrath!

  31. Wild Dingo on August 18, 2010 at 1:24 am

There aren’t enough police dogs in the world to stop a criminal like a sibe. nah… we think you guys were pullin’ the ‘ole possum trick… uh huh…

nice shots! it looks like so much fun. yes, i agree, support the rescues! way to go herd!

  32. Khyra on August 18, 2010 at 1:20 am

And not just ANY police dogs!

I wonder if they were watching ‘Q’ with extra insight from a certain ‘B’

It does look as if lots of our blog pals managed to get away from their humans to pawticipate in the walk!

Well done on the day, the video, and the post!

    Hugz&Khysses,
    Khyra
