Yes, we have our pictures from the Downtown Dog Walk with Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation. The pictures of us walking with the banner are all provided courtesy of Sarge’s:
Once again, this was an incredibly fun day and we were truly honored to lead the parade this year. Amazingly, we have no stories to share because The Herd was on their absolute best behavior. Maybe it was having two police dogs march behind us? Anyway, the people at Sarge’s do a fantastic job helping literally thousands of dogs and cats get out of our local shelter and find new forever homes. Please, wherever you live, support your local rescue(s)!
Tomorrow, we will let you know how much money was raised and announce the prize winners from our Walking with The Herd contest.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Such great pictures from an amazing event
Don’t forget, we moved to http://dogisgodinreverse.com/
What wonderful photos! Looks like you had a terrific day, a terrific event, and even some terrific butt sniffing – you know, for the dogs.
Congrats on your success!
Great Job! The pictures are wonderful and music was very fitting. Thanks for taking on this challenge and succeeding with flying paws. 🙂
Bravo! You did us all proud! We hope buckets of money was raised for Sarge’s Rescue! Thanks for sharing the photos–it was like being there.
Oops – I meant “quite a sight”! 😉
LOVED the music on your slideshow! Looks like a fantastic walk – wow – so many different kinds of doggies were there! I love the lime green bandanans everyone was wearing. And I’ll bet it was quite a site to see all the Herd walking together in front of the banner! 🙂
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane

Four paws for a well planned and executed event, and there is no more noble Mission than Rescue!!!
The Herd looks wonderful! I’m sure they were the talk of the town and the envy of all. It was fun to see all the different breeds looking dapper in their green kerchiefs.
Herd, you disappoint me. Not a single story?

You humans are so very talented, three dogs each AND one hand on the banner – great job. Beautiful slideshow, so many gorgeous dogs. It looks like Ruby and Tartok had a great time too. We loved the marching photo of Rusty.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

I was already thinking about joining my local SPCA’s walkathon. Those great pix decided me–it looks like lots of fun!
Could you please send those police dogs out here? We could use some discipline around here 🙂
I can’t believe that Rusty the Rooster didn’t have a prank planned. Wonders never cease!!!!!
Congrats on the great honor of leading the parade!
That is one photogenic Herd leading the walk! And so many doggie grins in one video – love it.
Congrats on a great day – you all looked wonderful – great video!
take care
Clive and Murray
You guys look great! I didn’t see one unhappy dog in the whole video. Is it possible that The Herd went home tired for a change? Heck, you even saw Greyhounds there, you must have seen just about everything!
Oh, these are so great! Thanks for sharing. Almost feel like I was there!
Your pal, Pip
Woos are super fantastic and you don’t even need a cape!
Norwood
wooo that looks like you had lots of fun. Great job. High paws to you all & everyone else who took part. Wish we had stuff like that here.
Khumbu
Woot!!
Well done on your walkie! Police doggies are kinda scary but you guys did a great job!
Those policedoggies can be formidable creatures… good to hear you were on your best behaviour so you weren’t subject to their wrath!
There aren’t enough police dogs in the world to stop a criminal like a sibe. nah… we think you guys were pullin’ the ‘ole possum trick… uh huh…
nice shots! it looks like so much fun. yes, i agree, support the rescues! way to go herd!
And not just ANY police dogs!
I wonder if they were watching ‘Q’ with extra insight from a certain ‘B’
It does look as if lots of our blog pals managed to get away from their humans to pawticipate in the walk!
Well done on the day, the video, and the post!
