Guarding the Jeep

Downtown Waynesville, and the humans are sitting at a sidewalk cafe eating Mojo Pork, black beans and plantains. The rest of The Herd is sound asleep at my paws.

But have no fear, Kiska - guard dog extraordinaire - has everything under control. They better bring a doggie bag.

Kiska, I’m very impressed you stayed in the jeep, on duty. I’m sure other (less committed) dogs would have hopped the window for a pork break.

I’m glad you have everything under control! Thanks for dropping by tonight! The year went flying by πŸ™‚

Doggie bags are required. Today we got french fries…which are actually a big no no but we love ’em anyways. Only thing about that pic…I would have been out of the truck and at the cafe faster than you can say “Was that a 3 legged dog?”

Everything is safe with Kiska in charge!

You certainly seem to have everything under control! A doggie bag, a walk of your choice AND a lamb shank are in order, I say!

Great guarding, Kiska!!! We sure hope you got a doggie bag. And better still, a really big one to share with the rest of the herd.

Just tell any human walking by that according to some scholars of the human persuasion that you are the next best thing to a wolf.

That should help with your guard duty while you have that big smile on your face.

Good job Kiska! Did you plan to lick the face of any intruder (that’s what my dogs would do to a human intruder, I think)? I hope that you got some pork out of the deal!

Does you mean to tell me the whole herd fits in the Jeep? Wow!

Oh, yes, all 6 of us ride there together with our seat belts on.

  21. Wimsey on July 21, 2010 at 8:39 am

Mmmmm, pork…I certainly hope they did bring a doggie bag! After all, it’s hard work guarding a car.

  22. Huskys Rule on July 21, 2010 at 8:23 am

Excellent work Kiska….we are sure nothing got tampered with being you were on duty. We think you deserve your own plate of mojo pork (maybe not the bean … hehehehehe) but definetly the meat!!!!!

I think they ought to buy you your own Mojo Pork for doing such a spectacular job, Kiska! There’s always the chance that some passerby might offer you something, too, I’m guessing!

  24. Kit on July 21, 2010 at 8:05 am

    Good girl!!!
Besides, why sleep when there is so much to see in town?

You are quite the guard dog! You definitely deserve a treat or two!

Kiska, you do look like you’re on duty. Hope you got a tasty reward for all that work!

  29. Echo on July 21, 2010 at 7:08 am

I dunno but I’m thinking that may not be a protective pose he’s striking. I suspect he’s saying….”hey you over there with the pork and beans…..we’re hungry!”. But that’s just me.

Bet nobody would dare come near the jeep!
Did you get a doggie bag after all that work?

    Cheers,
