Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
There was snow up in the mountains above us last night, but it didn’t last through the day today, so we didn’t get to see it AGAIN!!! We are as disappointed as you, I’ll bet, but at least you DID get to have some for a while!
It is the end of the ski season then? Do you get a lot of hikers?
Sam
It’s so sad when the snow melts π I would love snow all year round, myself and mum are trying to convince dad to move to Alaska! But he grumbles about not liking the cold, sigh…

It has been raining all day today, and so our snow is going very quickly, leaving us with lovely mud! Although the weather-guessers are saying that we might get some snow tomorrow (although I don’t think it will stick around very long)!

Hmmm…. looks like you can’t have everything, right??
Don’t worry! Your snow will be back in less than you think!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Oh no! I hope you managed to get one last snow walk before it’s all gone.
Kat
Wow, snow at your place finally melted … we’ve been “snowless” for at least a month now! lol
Don’t tempt mother nature, we’re not out of April! Maybe that’s only scary up this way…
Oh no…bye bye snow π
On no where is the snow going?

Maybe you can put some in the freezer for whenever you need that “snow smell”? But with the thawing of snow comes even more fun…MUD!!!
I love the pictures with the snow. I will be sorry to see it gone as well!
OMG sympathies to you all. We have the same thing happening over in Southern Spain, although we are expecting to be able to find snow in places for the whole year, wooooo. Will send you some should all yours go. Woooos
Better go sink your paws in what’s left!
jack a-roo & moo too
I am having a moment of silence for all of woo and the snow that is slowly disappearing…man it’s going to be a long summer.

We still have our paws crossed for one of those freak Spring snowstorms. I think the calendar is working against us, though.

Oh No, say it isn’t so……..How many days till snow season starts again??
I suggest running up and down the snow as much as poosible. Be thankful you have some still!

I don’t know TH… we’re having some furry weird weather over here and it’s snowing again in the Sierras! Maybe you’ll get a bit more…?… while dreaming of next winter! It’s going to be a great summer – look at all the greens!

Aaaaaiiiieeeee!!!
It might still snow one more time this month…who knows?!
Sadly that is a fact of life, but take heart, TH – it will be back. Meanwhile enjoy your hikes in the beauty of spring.

Awww! Hopefully you’ll find some cool mud baths to tide you over until it comes back!
And here I thought today might have some Herd vs. greyhound racing today!
snow melting does normally happen around this time of year!
Never mind, it always comes back!
