Signs of Spring – Good and Bad

Our tree is finally starting to bud out and produce leaves.

But something did not quite look right over at our neighbors - Cataloochee Ski

So we walked over to the ski area to see what was happening.

HORRORS! The snow is melting! We will miss you!

There was snow up in the mountains above us last night, but it didn’t last through the day today, so we didn’t get to see it AGAIN!!! We are as disappointed as you, I’ll bet, but at least you DID get to have some for a while!

It is the end of the ski season then? Do you get a lot of hikers?

It’s so sad when the snow melts πŸ™ I would love snow all year round, myself and mum are trying to convince dad to move to Alaska! But he grumbles about not liking the cold, sigh…

It has been raining all day today, and so our snow is going very quickly, leaving us with lovely mud! Although the weather-guessers are saying that we might get some snow tomorrow (although I don’t think it will stick around very long)!

We still have our paws crossed for one of those freak Spring snowstorms. I think the calendar is working against us, though.
