Our Saturday

Woo – it has been a busy week, so we are just now getting around to talking about Saturday.  Isn’t that crazy?  Anyway, here was our Saturday.

We went walking past our favorite tree

Cataloochee Ski is still open, though the season will be ending soon.

News flash – Cataloochee has announced that they will be open through April 11. What a great season for our neighbors!

Natasha was fascinated watching the skiers and snowboarders

Went walking past the Ski Lodge, which is nowhere near as busy as just a few weeks ago

And then came walking back up past our favorite tree looking up toward Cataloochee Ranch

One final view of the tree - looking out East over the mountain ranges

And then we walked back to the house

May not be earth shattering, but we do love our Saturday morning walks.

I totally understand. It is just not Saturday without my trip to the Park! On another note, We’re halfway there–from now on the funds raised go to Khyra’s favorite charity in honor of the transport work her mom does! Don’t forget to leave a comment on Ben’s blog! It is worth $1 toward animal rescue: http://lifeon3legs.wordpress.com/2010/03/18/a-year-ago/ Thanks.

What a contrast with the ski slopes and the ground around your tree. I’m sure you all miss your snow. Looks like a relaxing Saturday walk.

We love your walks. And we love your TREE! (Moma says … please do a collage, someday, of that tree through the seasons! It is spectacular.)

It seems like your snow disappeared pretty quickly! OUr ski spots are still open but down here in the valley we are preparing for the heat of summer! Yuck!

  19. Houndstooth on March 31, 2010 at 9:12 am

I think you should have stuck to walking and stayed out of the car! That does look like a great walk. Perhaps Natasha was gazing wistfully at the snow on the ski hill. It looks like Rusty even managed to walk in front with the rest of The Herd for a change!

  20. Life With Dogs on March 31, 2010 at 8:26 am

That is far more relaxing than a car ride, no? 🙂
It looks like your ski areas may stay open longer than many of ours. How crazy is that?

I love saturdays because daddy’s home!
