Ruby Tuesday’s Attention to Kitchen Detail

Shocking - Last week I was accused of being a predator in the kitchen.

Sheesh, kid, no telling where that reputation came from.

Totally undeserved.

In one of our comments yesterday,  Mogley G. Retriever asked about some of the best sources of news on the Iditarod.  Here are a couple to get you started:

The official website – http://www.iditarod.com/

The current standings – http://www.iditarod.com/race/race/currentstandings.html – This can take a little while to get used to reading.

The Alaska Daily News is a great source for stories on the race – http://www.adn.com/

The North Wapiti Blog is updated regularly and gives you a great view into our favorite team – http://www.northwapiti.blogspot.com/

Mike Criss has some excellent photography on his blog that I highly recommend – http://www.akphotograph.com/Alaska%20Blog/

Hope that helps!

    Do I see some stalking?

  5. norwood on March 9, 2010 at 11:46 pm

Being a sous chef does not = predator. I mean come on… all good sous chefs taste the meal before it’s served and help clean up. Jeepers.

We can tell woo are totally innocent, Ruby. We know woo would never do whatever they said it was that you did but it wasn’t you who did it.

Me and Quinn look just like that RIGHT now! There is a roast pork slow cooking in garlic and beer and we are making sure it stays safe!

Ruby, you are doing a great job watching over the kitchen!

  11. Huffle Mawson on March 9, 2010 at 4:52 pm

A predator? Wasn’t the predator the scary beastie in that movie? I don’t think Ruby looks like him at all.

  12. Twinkietinydog on March 9, 2010 at 3:57 pm

Predator(s)? What are you talking about. I like to pay attention to kitchen detail too, but nobody calls me that. Linguini gets called a counter surfer though. Great job on looking so innocent for the photos!

If it is on or near the floor, it’s ours. That does include the counter. Make the most of it while you can.

    Thanks for the links. WOOOOOO!

Ah, that last picture, it’s the famous “sneak up behind your human with pleading eyes and wait until you think you see something drop!” Nope, not a predator, not in the least. Maybe a scavenger?

Thanks for the Iditarod links – I haven’t ever really followed it, but am hearing more about it this year than ever before.

  22. Stella on March 9, 2010 at 11:07 am

How would you like it if some buddy gave you a bad name just because you like to walk around different parts of your OWN HOME, and check things out. I say, go wherever your nose takes you, Ruby!

    Kisses,
    Stella

  23. Cheryl, Indiana, Shingo & Molly on March 9, 2010 at 11:04 am

We can’t figure out WHY they would think you were a kitchen predator!!! HEHEHE!

    Woofs and Kisses!

  24. Steve & Kat on March 9, 2010 at 10:28 am

You look like a helper, not a predator. I can’t believe anyone would dare call you that!

There is my bee-woo-tiful Ruby, my kindred spirit, my soulmate.

My mom used to live in Alaska. She didn’t really follow the Iditarod but the Yukon Quest was huge (she lived in Fairbanks).

  27. KB on March 9, 2010 at 9:07 am

I have no idea where Ruby got such a reputation!

    Thanks for the Iditarod sites!

  29. Huskys Rule on March 9, 2010 at 8:34 am

They just don’t understand that you are there for them…should they spill or drop something you are there to clean it up so they don’t have to. You are only trying to make them have to do less work (hehe).

Sigh…..they always blame it on us redheads…

That is such an unfair reputation. Martha tends to get labelled with that but she is only wanting to lend a paw!
