Friday Scenery

It is the start to another great weekend and the weather is supposed to be perfect – if you are a Siberian Husky (cold, windy, snowy – awesome!).  So we thought we would share a few scenes from around where we live to kick off our weekend.

Driving into Maggie Valley

Looking up at Cataloochee Ranch from our road

Looking the other way on the road at the ranch (over 1000 acres at the ranch)

Another view of our regular walking road

But the best scenery is here

And here. Don't you agree?

Beautiful pictures! You live in a beautiful place! The last two pics are definitely the best! Love them! 🙂

Yep! That nonsense about if you’re not the lead dog the view never changes is not applicable to humans being pulled by Siberian!

It is very purdy with the blue sky and sunshine!

I do agree that the best scenery is the pack, but those views are breathtaking. I’m mighty jealous of all of you.

  8. Huffle Mawson on February 5, 2010 at 8:44 pm

You have lovely scenery but mum says it makes her feel cold and reminds her of being in the Arctic circle in 2008. I like to see all your fluffy tails.

  9. Suka on February 5, 2010 at 7:00 pm

Wow! You are some lucky pups! What a beautiful part of the country you live in! Mountains, snow, trees, snow. I agree that the last two photos are actually of the best scenery of all!

You all live in some beautiful country! The walks must be GREAT! Have a fun weekend.

  11. Bentley on February 5, 2010 at 4:04 pm

Goodness yes, fluffy dog tails are the best scenery. For some reason, human mom likes the others, with the trees and mountains and stuff. Silly.

We so love where you live – it makes us think that you leave the busy-ness of life behind and just enjoy the beautiful scenery. Thanks for these beautiful photos.

What a beautiful place….it makes my Mom miss West Virginia. The deciduous forest all covered in snow. Your neck of the woods is supposed to be getting quite a bit of the white stuff this weekend huh! Glad it’s for you and not me. 😉

    Kisses,
    Nala

The sky looks so blue against the white–gorgeous! The herd looks like they enjoy their walk so much. They have a definite configuration, don’t they?

  23. Dennis the Vizsla on February 5, 2010 at 10:12 am

Floofalicious! I miss those eastern forests …

  24. KB on February 5, 2010 at 9:52 am

I agree!!! It really looks like winter around your home area, finally! I bet the Sibes are happy.

  25. Tucker on February 5, 2010 at 9:08 am

That’s what it looks like where I live too, minus all the mountains. We have some, but not that many!

  26. Huskys Rule on February 5, 2010 at 8:41 am

I am sooo jealous. That snow looks like fun. I have never seen snow & I am turning 2 on the 15th. A sibe that has never been in the snow can u believe it…..should be a law.

    snow deprived sibe,
    Kody

  27. Houndstooth on February 5, 2010 at 8:02 am

I suspect a flock of dogs are going to be swooning over some pantyloons this morning! You do have some lovely scenery there!

  28. Sonic on February 5, 2010 at 7:31 am

I bet it’s really nice and peaceful where you live. All I ever hear are cars and buses. The only fresh air is in the morning… You guys are lucky!

  29. Honey the Great Dane on February 5, 2010 at 7:27 am

Hi Guys! Thanks for coming over to visit me! I had to giggle at your comment – especially when I arrived and saw your banner picture – I don’t think you’d have ANY problem in a dog park, if you all arrive together! 😆

Wow – you live in a really beautiful place! The scenery is just gorgeous.

    Slobbers,
    Honey the Great Dane

  30. Clive on February 5, 2010 at 4:26 am
