Kyrye

Please forgive us, but we have postponed the second installment of the tricks of The Thundering Herd Annex until tomorrow.  We hope you understand.

Kyrye is Khyra’s Sibe Sister, and we certainly all know Khyra and her mom and all they do for dogs and the dog blogging world.  In fact, Khyra was one of the very early commenters on the Thundering Herd blog and encouraged others to come visit us.  I know that many of you in the blogging world had the same experience.  We think that is one of the reasons we love this picture of the sisters together:

Just a couple of months ago, beautiful Kyrye celebrated her 15th birthday as you can see at Khyra’s blog post here.  Unfortunately, Kyrye had to make the journey to the bridge yesterday.  I know that many of you know the pain and heartache that Khyra and Phyll are going through now and share your sympathies with them.

We have asked our own dear sweet Nikita to greet Kyrye, along with a host of other Siberians, and show her the ways of The Bridge.  We have no doubt that the Geminids Meteor Shower lit the way so that Kyrye found her way with ease and was welcomed loudly.

Khyra and Phyll – You are in our thoughts today.

What a beautiful tribute you wrote for Kyrye, Khyra, and their mom, and you are very special dogs to devote your blog to your wonderful tribute to them! It always makes me sad to read when another fur-friend crosses the Bridge, and my heart and thoughts are with both Khyra and her mom. Fifteen years is a wonderfully long life! However, that does not make the pain of loss any less.

I must say, your Nikita is a very beautiful dog! And I am sure you are right in that Nikita will be there to help Kyrye along the way! That’s what friends are for!

It’s always sad when one loses a furry. Khyra and her mom will really miss Kyrye.

Very well said. Always sad when we lose a member of the family. Sabo is there to greet her.

This is too sad for those left behind. When I get sad like that, I try to think of the beautiful life Khyra led for 15(!) years. Say “hi” to our sissy, Rosie, Khyra.
    My best wishes, Twinkie

Sending Khyra and her Mom loving thoughts…it’s always so hard to say goodbye to those we love…such a beautiful tribute to a beautiful girl. Thinking of beautiful Kyrye romping with Nikita and all of our friends who have crossed over the bridge ahead of her.

You couldn’t have said it better. At least we all know that there are many good dogs, including three of my labs, up there greeting Kyrye.

Khyra’s mom does so many good things for dogs, from her support on blogs to the biggest thing of all – transporting lost dogs toward their forever homes. What a good person.

That was just a beautiful tribute not only to Kyrye but to her Mom and sibe-sister Khyra. It is never easy to let them go, how well we understand that. But sometimes it just has to be, and now Kyrye is happy and running free with all of our beloved sibes and other furiends.

What a touching post. Yes, Khyra has done the same for us!
15 years is such an achievement! Kyrye is an inspiration to many.
    Warm greetings from West Africa!

My brother poo-face Salvador is up there waiting for Kyrye to chase him around. I’m not sure who’ll win.

    Ahhhhhhh!

    We are so touched!

Kyrye was a good Sibe – I’m sure Nikita has already welkhomed her to The Dark Side!

We were happy we khould let her khross with dignity – we khould have tried fur more time, more days BUT that khould have khaused her more pain in the end – she went so peacefully –

Yet another sign it was time –

    Hugz&Khysses,
    Khyra and Phyll
