When you hike as much as The Herd does, it is very important to stretch before exercise. But be sure to do your stretches very slowly and always using proper form. Natasha will demonstrate the proper way to stretch.
Use a solid surface for safety
Stretch slowly to the right
Now stretch to the left
Slowly lean back until you feel the burn
The smile tells you how good that feels

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
This is just like watching the Wii Fit for dogs!

That stretch back felt so good. I can see how you keep your figure and your bling around.

Great stretches! I don’t have a wall, but I think my futon will work out good for the stretches! 🙂

Wooos Queen Natasha! I am very impressed with your stretching! Great form there!

um, Natasha, that series you just did is known as Bikram’s Half Moon pose. a half moon stretch to the right, left and back bend in the shape of a crescent moon. it’s the first exercise in a series of 26 poses in a room that’s heated from 101-105 degrees. I don’t know… tho you look pretty yoga pro, something tells me you probalby never do much of anything in that kind of heat…
Excellent form, Natasha! Just watching woo makes me feel better!

Work it, Natasha!
You demonstrate things so well, Natasha. We are going to go try to find a stone wall to practice our stretches too.
Happy hiking.
woos, the OP Pack
What a little athlete! It’s understandable why you’d need to get in shape, I bet you and your pack go on tons of great adventures.
Marge loves to stretch. If we gently lift up her back legs while she’s standing, she stretches allllll the way forward and works out all of those muscles.
What fine technique and form! And what a beautiful view.

That is great. Now we really know the proper stretching technique…

Natasha! It looks like you are off on a wonderful hike! We hope you enjoyed it as much as you seemed to be enjoying the stretches beforehand.
You go Girl!

Woowoow! Natasha, you are the Doga guru!
We always joke that the dogs have a single all-purpose stretch, the play-bow and then arching the back upward. That’s all they do and they’re ready for action!
Great Natasha picts. If that were Rusty or my R, I’d have been worried that they were preparing to leap over the stone wall!
Maybe woo khan get an exercise programme on The Animal Planet?

Natasha, thank you so much for showing us your beautiful stretches.
Hello Natasha!
I’m going to have to practise those stretching moves before my next hike!!!
