Sort of, Kind of Snow

IMG_5075

From our front porch – the mountain range looks frosty

IMG_5087

The ridge tops were glistened

IMG_5077

Even the edges of our dog yard got a dusting of snow

IMG_0055

But as our buddy Bricey of many nicknames said, there is barely enough to snooter

IMG_0047

So Cheoah improvised with her patented slide

IMG_0048

Making sure both sides were covered

IMG_0050

Making sure the head is caked in snow

IMG_0053

Even biting what snow she could

IMG_0054

Until you achieve – Brain Freeze!

P.S. – Like all the grass that Cheoah can get in her collar doing the Cheoah Slide?

Does THAT ever look like so much fun! I LOVE to slide my head and body into some strange smells and grass, but hope to get to do what you were doing this winter in the mountains! How beautiful it is in N. Carolina! (Mom apologizes for never commenting, but your blog page doesn’t seem to show up when you post – will try to fix)

Our Ellie does the same slide…usually when she finds some scat in the forest! Here’s hoping for a REAL snowfall. If they have that much fun with a little bit, I can imagine when they really get a good snow!

  11. Brownie on October 19, 2009 at 6:40 pm

Holy moly… snow already? You all look so adorable and happy playing in it, i’m envious!

I’ve never seen the Cheoah slide before. Is that a patented move?

I think me and Bricey agree that you need deep snow to do correct snootering. Snow banks are fine, but just deep all over snow is the furry, furry best.

Maybe later this week, we will get some, but if its going to be that wimpy, snoweater snow like you guys got, I’d rather wait for the real deal!

    Kisses,
    Stella

  15. Khyra on October 19, 2009 at 3:19 pm

If I had done that in my weather, I’d have water in my ears –

And a reason NOT to hear Mom khall me 😉

Tank woo fur sharing how to do that – I’ll keep it in my mind when my snow arrives!

That certainly beats no snow at ALL – which is what we have!

That’s a pretty impressive amount of grass! Hmmm. The forecast says it might snow tonight. Do you want to come visit?

We can see snow on the mountains in winter, too, but unfortunately for Trixie it never makes it down here to the coast!

Wooos Cheoah! Nice form you have there, but ummm, the grass in the collar? That is one unusual move, I have no idea how you did that. I will have to ponder that a while.

Cheoah is just working on her camouflage. Is she planning to ambush those big dogs down the road?

We sorry to say that we just checked your forecast and see that Qannik will not be using his stealth mode for a while.

Wow, that’s a lot of grass that Cheoah pulled out of the ground. I’m glad for the Sibes that the cold weather, a snow dusting, has arrived!

  25. Ozzie & ZoZo on October 19, 2009 at 9:36 am
