As promised, this week’s Walking Wednesday Video is from the Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation Downtown Dog Walk 2009. It was a hugely successful event with 220 dogs participating in the walk (oh, yeah, and some humans, too). The weather was perfect and we had a total blast participating in the walk.
The first third of the video are scenes from the walk itself, the second third are still photos of various dogs at the event (with a few thrown in of The Herd and our cousin Tartok, who walked with us), and the final third of the video is, well, special.
You see, after the walk, our favorite Red Head, Rusty the Rooster, got into a small scuffle. The opponent was so light on his, errr, feet. The opponent danced like the wind, bobbing and weaving, while Rusty put up his best battle. But in the end, the fleet footed enemy seemed to get the best of Rusty. This story is absolutely not full of hot air. Trust us on that one. Just be sure to stick to the end of the video to see the battle rage.
P.S. – Yes, that is known as a hook. Blatant, huh? But so worth it.

Like you, i don’t use youtube or vimeo. Mostly because i dislike hosting any content belonging to wild dingo on other servers that I don’t own. i’m uptight about my content!
Rusty sure is a cutie pie! and YES, I’d LOVE to see Queen Natasha the Evil be tormented with one of those silly necklaces. It would serve her juuuuussst fine! boooowhahahahaahha…tho If i were a human living with her…I’d be very frightened afterwards…very frightened! 😉
What a great video of a awesome event – you guys are are so cool – i definately think natasha needs a collar like that – and rusty what can we say – you are lucky bricey cant open the video – fighting and loosing to the balloons – so embarrassing!!

Cute! Our dachshund Missy had an inordinate fear of balloons and would end up trapped in the corner if one happened to accidentally get stuck to her by static electricity. (Also, I enjoyed the music from “The Lost Boys” there at the end!)

Brice I had problems too. I just uninstalled QuickTime and reinstalled the latest version. Good luck finding the problem because it is the cutest video.

Hmmmmm….we have the latest version of QT but still can’t see the video. I think somepup sabotaged the video for us. Either he wants to protect his brother from my teasing or he wants all of our attention on him.

Wooos! What a great walkie and a great cause. We are so proud that the Herd did so well, even my little Rusty, I loved his head butting, but the balloon fight? Hilarious. Someone better tell him that they go bang!

I don’t think I have ever seen THe Thundering Herd walk so slow! But you sure stood out over most of the group.
Oh and Rusty’s “fight” at the end? My human thought it was so funny that she scream laughed.
