We got up Sunday morning and headed to Mt Pisgah. Normally this is not a trail we do in season and certainly not on a holiday weekend, but, by getting there early, we were able to avoid the crowds. Trust me that avoiding the crowds is an important goal when walking six Siberians!!! When we arrived, the trailhead parking area had 5 cars. When we came back down around 11 am, the parking area was full. Our timing worked.
Another advantage is that we got to see the mountains from Mt Pisgah with the sun rising in the East. A beautiful day. Click on the picture to see a larger version:
And, to cap off the day perfectly, after hiking a couple of different trails with the dogs, we came home and fed them – meaning they were all snoring away and we could enjoy a quiet dinner on the front porch while watching the sun set over the mountain ranges. I took this picture from the porch after the sun had dropped below the horizon (I was so enjoying watching the sun, I forgot the camera), but plenty of light to show off the clouds:
A Kibble Jar

Wings of Doom

A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
