Posing on Craggy Pinnacle

Craggy Pinnacle has become one of our favorite hikes this summer with the Blue Ridge Parkway closed in that section.  About a 4 mile roundtrip from the picnic area parking lot through the flats, up the road and through this tunnel:

Then on to the top of Craggy Pinnacle.  Kodiak was really enjoying the weather and posed very quickly for a great shot:

Kiska was very worried about the wind impact on that wooly coat tail of hers.  Somehow, she could not quite get it to look right, as you can see from her worried expression here:

This was particularly tough for her because I was not the only one taking her picture.  A guy who was on the pinnacle when we got there asked permission to take her picture, so she was having a Puparrazi moment with two cameras clicking, but finally gave us a nice smiling picture:

I also tried to get some pictures of Queen Natasha the Evil, but she was absolutely not cooperating.  Outtakes from those attempts tomorrow.
