Guard Face

As followers of our Facebook Page know, we got caught in a rain and hail storm yesterday.  Since, of course, we did not have the windows for the Jeep, we found a Lowe’s and parked under their customer pick-up shelter.  Natasha went on guard duty:

As you can see from the view from our parking spot, there is nothing out there.

But the ears still go up.

She scans the horizon.

Suddenly, the serious face.

Game face is on.

The danger has passed and the Queen smiles again.

Once again, Queen Natasha the Evil has protected The Herd and they are safe.  Well, except from her.

We spend a lot of time trying to determine just what has caught their interest. Sometimes we just can’t guess.

Maybe the Evil Queen doesn’t hear, smell, see ANYTHING special in the parking lot.

Maybe she is just conjuring up a vision of something she saw once, and liked it a whole lot.

    It could be!

    Kisses,
    Stella

Those are some great ears and love your expressions!
Yikes! Hail storm. We had 2 days of pounding thunder and rain on our camp trip…I did not like the thunderous kabooms!
Ps…the photo of Mt. Hood coming through…it was quite amazing, as we had pulled in very late the night before, reading all the campsite marker cards, to be sure we wern’t taking anyone’s spot…. Great morning walkie with mom to find the view of Mt. Hood starting to appear! Ahhh!

    Sweet hugs,
    Sierra Rose

Great job keeping everyone safe! We got stuck in the rain too except momma and dad were trapped inside Costco and we were in Pumpkin. And you know earlier in the day we had to protect momma from a scary situation…must have been something in the air!

That’s how Nala is with her ears — except she gets more scared at storms. I don’t really care one way or another, but I don’t love car trips. Glad you made it through the storm. 🙂

    Woofs & hugs <3,

    Great photos!

I don’t know how many times I have been stuck in the pouring rain with no top on my jeep!

    Hi Y’all,

On the water or in the mountains are two places you really would prefer not to be when caught in a thunderstorm!

    Y’all come back now,

I’m sorry your day got rained out. It’s pretty fortunate that you found a place to get out of the storm, though. I’m sure with Natasha on guard that there was never any danger!

Glad you liked the challenge! I feel bad, I should have e-mailed you about it, but I got distracted.

Hmmm… we may need to borrow her from time to time. The boys make lousy guard dogs!

What a lovely photo study of the beautiful Queen being Queenly! Woe to those who cross her!

What would The Herd do without the Queen? We think all of her “faces” are just beautiful.

I feel safer just knowing she is looking after everyone 🙂
