We had a terrific time yesterday at Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation Annual Downtown Dog Walk and will share lots of pictures during the week. Since it was a long day, though, we will just share one picture for now.
As long-time readers know, each of The Herd has a distinct personality. Queen Natasha the Evil is known for running The Herd with an iron paw and generally being ornery.
After the walk, we were hanging out on the courthouse lawn while the hu-dad was taking pictures of the other participants. Hu-dad turns around to see someone talking to The Herd. So how did ornery Natasha react to this intrusion?

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Gorgeous dogs! And to think I might have looked something like this had I not lost my eye and had my head stepped on when I was a pup. Still, I do love the folks at the Skagit Humane Society for helping me find a home…you can read about it in my new book Ivan! A Pound Dog’s View on Life, Love and Leashes coming in October. Come blog with me at: http://foreverivan.com/
No sibe would ever turn down a gentle tummy rub – Natasha knows just what she was doing:)

It is a Queen’s prerogative to display alternative behavior… and reverse on a dime, if so inclined!
Long party the Queen!
with love from the Bleu
As Queen, she can do whatever she wants. So there.
Ahhh, we’ve all been there. 😉
Happy Sunday woofs & hugs <3,
~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
Oh, I love that ornery queen.
Even “Evil Queens” need to be loved!
Belly rubs, no matter who gives them, is always the proper way to show respect to royalty:-)

Queens need a day to unwind, relax and be casual too!!

The Queen is being served by another loyal subject with a tunny scratch. The humans have already been willingly conquered by QNTE; it’s only the other members of the Herd who require the iron paw.
Yep – that is a really fiercesome reaction …… 😉

As a queen, she just likes to keep you all guessing. I get it.
She is a softy at heart. <3
