Friday Fotos

Kodiak here. While everyone's back is turned, I thought I would take you a quick Friday Foto tour.

Our neighbor, Cataloochee Ski, is using the quiet summer months to install a new chairlift.

Everything in our field is lush and green from the summer rains.

Looks like another great weekend on the horizon.

Good to see you, Kodiak. Everything looks so green there. We are starting to turn brown with the heat. Hope those with their backs turned aren’t getting a treat that you are missing out on.

    Have a great weekend.

Kodiak, I can’t help that thinking spending a week at Chez Herd would be one of the best vacations ever! Who needs to go away when you have beauty like that all around?

  7. Radinka Ilsink on July 15, 2011 at 2:45 pm

The Herd has some amazing views to gaze at, jealous!

Wow, your mountains look absolutely gorgeous! It must be like living in paradise living where you are (but maybe not a “tropical” paradise at times). 🙂 We can’t believe all that natural beauty is just one state down from us! Of course, VA has its beautiful parts as well, but we happen to live in the flat area…but near the beach, so we really can’t complain.

If you all get a spare moment, e-mail us your pictures of the ways you like to keep cool on a hot day to [email protected] for a chance to win some great USDA certified organic dog treats from The Organic Hound Co. The contest ends tonight at midnight (both of our time–EST) and I’m going to do two posts of all the pictures over the weekend and on Monday the winner and runner-up will be announced (the people at The Organic Hound Co. are going to be judging and picking the winners).

Anyway, have a great weekend and enjoy all that natural beauty out there!
