Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Hahaha. That looks just like me when I use the entire couch to scratch myself. It makes mommy mad though, she says I’m dirtying the couch.
Wooooo,
Togo
Stucco is good too!
Phantom would love to borrow your wall – he tries to do that along the sofa edge, but it just doesn’t have quite the right feel:)
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
That’s a smart solution to the problem!
Ha roo roo roo! I’ll bet that feels good!
Play bows,
Zim
We think a house covered in husky fur siding is even better! Mom’s aussie-rottie Rosie used to rub her way all across the fencing to skritch her itch!

Is your house fuzzy during shedding season?
Sam
I totally concur with Huffle.
Remy
Also, when you are extra woolly you need extra scratching!
Hope you don’t get a splinter, OUCH!
who woo kidding? the hu-dad was either being 1. lazy or 2. naughty in not addressing your scratching needs; preferring to watch you fend for yourself…
i think sibe retaliation is in order… 😉
Blueberry does the same thing to our couch! I’m thinking the cedar shakes might be a lot more effective, though. I’m surprised it’s not coated in floof after her little scratch attack!
Our livingroom rug works pretty good for me, just wriggle around it on my back, though hu-Mom isn’t too happy about the “gobs of wool” I leave behind. My Dad, Ice uses the chain link fence in the back yard. I love that look of absolute bliss on Kiska’s face in the last photo. Ahhhhhhhhhh!
We have been seeing more of Kiska featured lately and we love it!
For me, its the top of my back that needs itching so I have to get my Mom to use her paws, never enough, but pretty good anyway!
Kisses,
Stella
Mine like to use the sofa

Scamp used to use the side of the couch, we dont have Rough ceder siding so he made do with the couch, i love the last photo, Kiska just looks so satisfied, love the bushy tale too, Jenny 🙂
Isn’t it great when a plan works out!!!! Your last picture says it all:-)

Yep, I do the chainlink thing or a refreshing slide along a snowbank causeing an avelanche of snow to fall on me as I push along.
Thanks for explaining it to My Vickie. Now she knows what I am doing and doesnt’ just think I am a little weird.
Bert
Yes, Kiska! I do the same thing all along our backyard chainlink fence and leave little tufts behind.
Haha! Sometimes Daisy does this on the front of the couch!
That’s the way to do it!! Love that last shot. Perfect!
