We continue to be amazed at the pictures we are seeing out of the tornado ravaged parts of the country. Our hearts continue to go out to all of the people – and animals – affected by the horrendous storms.
We are also seeing the effects from all of the rain on the lake level here at Norris Lake in Eastern Tennessee. Now the park we are staying in is open and things are moving normally, but you can certainly see the effects of the high lake level along the shore line. We thought we would share a few more pictures today.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Beautiful and amazing photo’s – at least the water birds are enjoying it 🙂
Licks and lots of slobber,

Our Labs would love it!!!
I laughed about the “no swimming” sign and the bridge! I know that it’s not really funny but sometimes it’s all that you can do (laugh).
Rusty looks so tall!
The Susquehanna is above flood stage – the news had some interesting pikhs from Harrisburg last night and this morning –
I’m sure Rusty is proud of his namesake – even if he is a Border Collie –

PeeEssWoo: So what time is wake up at Khamp Thundering Herd?
That’s a lot of water! We hope everybuddy stays safe! We went back and enjoyed seeing you all hanging out behind the S-RV. We counted – twice – before reading about the additions! 🙂
The long reaching effects of Mother Nature’s temper tantrums are amazing. We, too, send healing energy and strength to the ravaged areas and their citizens (two- and four-legged).
We sure hope the water doesn’t rise any higher!
Keep your feety-feet dry!
Luv,
Dave
Wow, what pics! Thank you for the tour…amazing how high the water is on that bench. Stay safe and dry…
That’s a lot of water! Glad it isn’t a worse and you are safe from all that violent weather.
I still say you should sit on the bench 🙂 It would give us a reference!

Amazing how oddly Mother Nature behaves. Some areas have too much water, and then we read in the paper today about the extremely high risk of fires in Texas this year because of dry conditions. Very strange.
Hope you and the Herd are enjoying your camptime. Nice to see some pup pics interspersed with the scenery.
