Why We Hike

Qannik and Kiska say our Saturday afternoon hike was excellent.

Cheoah clearly still has some energy left.

Notice all of the movement she achieved?

We are all crashed out, too. Sundays are hike-days!!

Yep, that head lift shows Cheoah could have walked at least another mile.

Funny, Mom says that we are going to start our long hikes again soon, too. (With all the snow, our regular trail has long since been buried, but it’s been so warm the last week that Mom says she’s going to check to see if it is hike-able yet.) Something about how Abby has too much energy at night! πŸ˜‰

Our mom talks about the “get ’em tired, keep ’em tired” philosophy. Any idea what that means?

You’ll have to tell us your secret, because I think we’re doing it wrong! Morgan still seems to have energy left when we get back from our hikes. If I could see her zonked out like that just once, I’d feel like I accomplished something!

Everyone looks so happy and contented! That’s the beauty of hiking! It seems Hu-dad is the toughest guy as he has to drive the tired herd home safely too.
