Our section of the Blue Ridge Parkway may be closed (well, at least closed to cars – hikers are welcome) in the winter, but the road is open in many areas and the hiking is beautiful in the winter. You can call 1 828 298 0398 to get current road conditions and closings. Hope to see you on the trail!

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Not closed to the Sibe’s though, they can track through anything. 🙂
You all have the coolest places to walk and hike! We totally need to move!!

Never underestimate the power of fur wheel drive. 🙂 Cute!
Fur wheel drive. I love it.
Fur wheel drive is the best!!
Elyse and Riley
How cool to have the road all to yourselves. No pesky cars to move over for. Break Trail!
As I would expect, you choose the road less traveled!
I bet it’s a comfortable feeling to have a “road” you can run on without having to keep looking over your shoulder for traffic. Bet the fur-wheel-drive kidz love it, too!
That looks like what we are supposed to be doing; instead we have 80 degrees and dusty dirt trails.
Remy and Flash
The little glimpse of the sky in the first picture is very pretty. From what I have learned of Sibes, it seems to me a Closed Road would be right up your alley. Way better than a wide open one, right?
Kisses,
Your pal Stella in the Snow
Yup it is a good thing 😉

Please do let Qannik know there is now a snow-white ferret out there named after him. A friend rescued five new ferrets, and one had a horrible name, Crisco. Crisco? She jokingly said “I should call him Snow Flake” but I said OH NO! I do not think so! Call him Qannik! So much more distinguished! I linked her to his page, and she absolutely agreed. Qannik the Ferret rocks! Now he just has to learn his new name. Can you imagine having called your Qannik Crisco? I think not!
