Worldwide Moment

For details about the Worldwide Moment, please see Jake and Fergie’s blog.

At 11 pm GMT (which is 6pm Eastern Standard Time for us here in the U.S.), we will all take a minute of silence to think of those who are in need or those who have already made their way to the Rainbow Bridge.  We will be thinking of many, many of our friends and here is just a sampling:

K

K from Romping and Rolling in the Rockies who has had her toe amputated in a battle against bone cancer.

Blueberry

Blueberry of Tales and Tails who has just had surgery.

Cool Paws Luke

Golden Boy Luke (aka Cool Paws Luke) who will be receiving his fourth of four chemo treatments tomorrow.

Wilf

Wilf the Polish Lowland Sheepdog who is savoring the time that has been given.

Juno

Juno of Wild Dingo who is facing a decision of whether to do a Total Hip Replacement for hip dysplasia

Phantom

Phantom of the Chronicles of Woo who is recovering from surgery

Sierra

Sierra who has recently made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge

We made no attempt to list everyone in need, but just wanted to give a sampling.  So we invite you to do two things.  (1) Join us worldwide in the moment of silence and (2) feel free to list everyone else that we should be thinking of in the comments.

  14. Stella on November 14, 2010 at 9:48 am

We will be holding paws, Stella and I, at 5 pm central standard time, and thinking about all those you have mentioned and so very many more. I’d like to add Sulie, the little Scottie mill dog who passed just recently, after a lifetime of bravery and courage. We could also hope for those dogs who are still in the puppy mills, prisoners of greed, and hope for their release.

Thanks to Jake and Fergi for all they and their family have done to bring this about.

    Cheers,
    Stella, Jo and Zkhat
