Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Oh wow! It was super rainy in Baltimore last week and still is

wooooo so looks like fun. Do any of you swim?

Hoping it’s been a drier Thursday and that you’re having fun!
Good thing you guys don’t melt in the rain like my sister Star thinks dogs do. Sure does look wet there.
Your dedication to holidaying even in the middle of a flood is very impressive.
Hope you are having a great vacation even though you have lots of water around you. We love to play in the puddles. The Hounddogs
Boy. Um. It sure looks like you guys picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue. Ah, I mean, go on vacation! Have a swimming time! *heehee*

Hi Herd!
Maggie Valley is probably having the balmiest weather ever!
Are you guys having fun? Lots of it? Just keep on keeping on then!
Kisses,
Stella
Looks like our yard back in New York before I dug that French drain 150 feet through the clay. I was covered in mud that whole summer.
So sorries that you hoomans are encountering so much wet stuff, but we are certain that the Herd doesn’t mind so much. Also read about the dead batteries yesterday – oh dear – that has happened to us whenever we REALLY, really want cool pix. Dang – hope the weather cheers up a bit – we also love Norwood’s comment heheh!
Hugs xoxoxo

That “swamp” looks pretty fun, but I bet it made for humid weather. The Herd didn’t want to splash through it?
I was hoping for your sake that maybe the storm predictions were wrong. I guess not. There was a story about your rain on NPR this morning.
Keep on hiking! The dogs don’t mind it and neither do you! I once rode out a hurricane on the Outer Banks when I was about 10 years old (I can’t remember its name). It was a vacation that I never forgot.
We are laughing at Norwood’s comment! We can just see the waters parting for the Queen! LOL.
I think the Herd would prefer an Arctic vacation, right?
Kisses,
Emma Rose
Wow! I bet you’re sure glad you went on vacation this week! I hope you brought some hip waders!
