Ok, not really, but the title sounds good.
The story is simple. Our hu-dad’s parents went down to see our hu-aunt and uncle and, importantly, our little hu-nephew (is that all clear???). Forget it – ignore all of this human stuff, and focus on the really important thing – our cousin Tartok went to the doggie hotel for a few days. Don’t remember Tartok? He may not be quite as talented as Nebo or Keva, but you can see some of his tricks here (We can’t show you The Herd doing tricks because The Herd scoffs at doing tricks for treats).
Anyway, he was supposed to be picked up from the doggie hotel at 3 pm today, but a little winter storm was causing concern. The doggie hotel people agreed to open at noon just so he could be picked up, but our hu-grandmother called our hu-dad and asked if he would venture out to get Tartok. But, of course, so we plowed through the snow (ok, ok, it was just starting – but we are going for drama here) and rescued our cousin.
Here he is looking thrilled to ride in the jeep. And we know he likes the jeep as shown here and here.
We are happy to report that he is back home with our hu-grandparents getting spoiled as is appropriate for our Siberian cousin.
P.S. – Yes, we are getting some good snow. More videos and pictures of that later in the week!

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Your dad is a hero! What a harrowing tale of a winter rescue. I bet he even had to drive uphill both ways.
Kat
I’ll be the kennel was surprised to see the entire thundering herd show up to rescue their sibe-cousin!
How exciting! I was on the edge of my seat! Which is the floor… so you can appreciate how precarious that was.

I’m sure he was very grateful that you all went to rescue him from the doggie hotel. The doggie hotel is fun, but it’s not the same as being at home with your family. I can’t wait to see your snow videos and pictures!
