We had one of those much needed but quite boring rainy days which restricted our outdoor time but still resulted in soggy canines.
We’d like to claim we didn’t complain. After all, we needed the rain. But when the falling water interferes with our walk times and our yard times, we might have griped a little. As Typhoon sat with the Hu-Dad in the pavilion waiting on a break, his displeasure was evident. On the bright side, Hu-Dad got to smell soggy canines all day long.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Beautiful picture, and the grass and fence look tremendous, too!
Here in Michigan we are on day 4 of rain and mosquitoes. We would gladly share with anyone that has a drought to take it away from us. Spring has been too wet and now the bugs have moved in early. Yuck.
Typhoon does have a point once the rain starts interfering with walks & playtime it needs to stop. Hu-Dad have you thought of bottling the wet dog smell as an air additive?? ??
Eau de dogue cologne. ;-))
sorry Hu Dad… but I think it would smell like heaven to me!
I’ve had my fill of Drought and Heat.
what a beautiful picture. XO
Sitting with you and enjoying your company. Wet or not, you just want to reach out and stroke his head and tell him he is a good dog.
