While the other dogs were enjoying some time in the yard, Roscoe was busy watching the enemy
those dreaded squirrels in our yard.

Today’s post was inspired by a particularly ornery squirrel. He picked up a scrap off the ground, climbed a tree branch just outside the fence, and sat on the branch gnawing his prize. Roscoe couldn’t believe the audacity!

Amazingly, despite repeated invitations from Roscoe, the squirrel declined the opportunity to come inside the fence and discuss the matter further. That left us with a dog in utter disbelief.

    We know all about those evil squirrels. They plan and plot just out of reach. Mom says we aren’t allowed to play with them, although if they (or anything) comes in our yard all bets are off. One time we caught one. Mom was not pleased! She claimed it was because she was being dragged behind us like a sled. Hey, free rides are hard to find. When we caught it we made sure to check on mom by sticking our noses in her face.
