Mr. Suave jumped in the Jeep for a ride by himselfā¦and discovered we were were going for the annual Frankie vet visit and exam.
Jeep rides mean adventures, so when Hu-Dad suggested that Frankie jump in the Jeep, he was excited…until he realized no one else was going. Solo jeep rides mean one thingāthe vet.
The good news is that Frankie Suave is as healthy as ever. He easily gave himself over to the exam (except for that touching the footy-foot thingāstop itāit tickles) and everything looks good. We will get the lab results back in a couple of days, but have no reason to suspect any issues.
Frankie has lived here at Chez Herd for 8 years, so is probably 10 or so years old. At that age, the exam is actually semi-annual, but they are easy for him. And, yes, they did have peanut butter.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldnāt have been much worse.
I remember when Frankie was in the rescue, such a friendly boy. Glad to know he’s still smiling and always ready for a trip š
Frankie should look at his Vet visits as one on one with Hu-dad, and a free treat. Guess you just gotta change the way you look at things! As Maya Angelou said “If you don’t like something change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude about it” I know it’s hard, but Frankie your cool demeanor will help!
Eight years… how time flies! Yay for a healthy pupper. That’s what we like to hear.
Excellent always good to know we have a healthy handsome man
Yay! He does look good, and pretty happy.
Happy for you Frankie. Nothing like a clean bill of health. At least Hu-Dad doesn’t have to worry about your weight, you look nice and slim. My Ruby is not so slim, always a battle with food.
Great news for Frankie Suave! I am SO glad they had the peanut butter for you-YUMMY! I am so happy he did so well at his exam.
