With the month of May in full bloom—not to mention a field full of wild flowers—Roscoe was trying to stop and smell the flowers but had a slight problem.
Our field has exploded into a sea of wildflowers, the blooms waving in the spring breezes. Hu-Dad always waits as long as he can to mow the field because the colors are too pretty.
Unfortunately, he has mowed inside the fence, so we don’t have a ton of flowers to explore. Roscoe did his best to embrace the beauty, though.
Someone, however, seemed a little less than impressed to discover his little brother and student has a softer side.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
I have always loved dandelions! they’re very cheery to me.
and what is a flower but a weed that is growing where we want it to!
there is nothing sweeter than a little boy bringing a bouquet of dandelions to his mom.
and then there is Roscoe who knows a sweet flower when it tickles his nose! xoxo
I was waiting for him to smell the dandelion and it to go poof on his nose. My dogs do that. We should all stop and smell the flowers every day because those of us with dogs know that life is short but precious.
Love the picture of Roscoe and the dandelion! I think Hu-dad needs to go pick a bouquet of wild flowers the sweet pup.
So Roscoe has an artsy side! I like it!!
Sorry Typhoon-your brother Roscoe seems to like flowers and the only one he could find were dandelions! No worries though-I’m sure he will be looking for those pesky bunnies in short order!
