Disappearing

Brace yourself, pups, the following picture is very graphic.  The horror is almost unbearable to see.  Ready?  Ok, scroll down:

Yep, that’s right pups.  Our snow has shrunk dramatically.  We still have some snow in the yard and along certain parts of our walk, but our road is almost totally clear and the humans are able to drive around with ease.  Sigh.  What can we do?

We know!  We are headed today to Abingdon and Damascus Virginia for the Alaska Serum Run Re-enactment hosted by Siberian Husky Assist.  As we have told you before, this rescue has a special place in our heart because that is where our dear Kodiak was taken care of before coming to Chez Herd.

what a perfect way to honor Kodiak! except for that disappearing snow. Juno really needs to visit you on snow days. i think she’d love the snow, your long walks AND your pack! she’s so friendly, she gets along with EVERYONE and EVERYPUP. including Retardo, err… Loki.

i’m so sure she’d love a long walk and visit in the snow with the Herd.
    sigh.

Sorry about the missing snow. I’ve got to be honest, I enjoyed going to the park and not having to slosh through 6 inches.. but I know how much you guys like it!

  11. Twinkietinydog on January 16, 2010 at 4:45 pm

You should have a chat with Phantom and Thunder from The Chronicle of Woos. Somebody needs to coordinate your efforts. As for today…have a blast!

Thanks so very much for posting SMRP’s note _ it touched my hart. I haven’t been able to type at all until today. and now, after a short time, I have to stop. What a bummer. I think that my commenting might be minimal for a while.

Sorry about the vanishing snow but I hope you have fun at you Sibe-oriented activities.

I’m not sorry to see our snow disappearing! I’ve almost unearthed my hole to China again!

That event sounds like a lot of fun! I’m betting you will have lots of cool pictures to share!

Sadly our snow is melting too. We still have some but by tomorrow there will be way more green than white in our yard. Have a lot of fun at that serun run reenactment today – maybe you will find another pup to bring home:)

    Uh OH!!

    Bye bye snow!!

We had a brilliant sunny warm day here today, I don’t think it would be ideal for you

  22. Kit on January 16, 2010 at 3:58 am

Fear not about the retreating snow…I do believe it will make another appearance this winter…
Did you get to meet Bill Borden…I met him last year at the Iditarod and turns out, he and his wife live a couple hours south of me.. Did we wear his usual attire of tuxedo and Bunny Boots. It might have been to hot for the boots.
I’m heading back up to Iditarod in March! Mush On!!!
