During our evening walks, we sometimes hear noises in the woods and alert Hu-Dad to the danger. Good thing Landon was paying attention last night.
Our “neighborhood” is full of lots of interesting creatures – black bears, bobcats, elk, coyotes, and lots more. And with the blackberry crop dwindling at the end of the season, Hu-Dad is wary of our bear encounters since they are stocking up calories for the winter ahead. So when Landon alerted to something none of the rest of us heard, Hu-Dad was concerned that a wild animal approach. We came around the corner and, sure enough, the threat was mere feet away.
Uh, Landon, that isn’t exactly high on the threat alert. Can we keep a little perspective?

Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldnāt have been much worse.

I iz a intrepid hunter! I protects my pack!!
Landon is doing his job-finding any threats(LOL) and I think he’s doing a good job. Maybe a bunny isn’t something to be feared BUT look at those ears at attention and his whole body on alert!! I really do hope that nothing more fearsome will show up during your walks!
