Thankful Landon – Film Friday

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. Here, a thankful Landon counted his blessings. After just over a year of living at Chez Herd, Boom Boom is grateful for so many things including an ever patient big brother in Frankie Suave, a perfect wrestling partner in Cheoah (aka Cheesewhiz) and a big yard for adventures. Enjoy this week’s Film Friday as the Boom takes you around Chez Herd and shows you many of the things that he appreciates during this Thanksgiving weekend.

Does Typhoon and Landon ever play together?? I know you said Typhoon thinks Landon is too ‘bouncy’ but just curious if the Little Prince ever gave him the time of day.?.?

Virtually never. Boom Boom would be perfectly happy to and invites with play bows, sniffs, and other inducements. The Little Prince considers it all beneath him.

And I’m thankful for the Herd and their website. Also for my family, friends, and loyal canine companions, including the current Dog in Residence, Krystal the Schneagle.

I think all members of the Herd are probably very thankful for their humans and their fellow Sibes.

I was wondering, are you ever worried about a collar getting stuck or twisted in the jaws of a wrestling partner? It is something we have always been concerned about, and we remove collars when in the house/yard. But then, I don’t have Huskies. You may have other worries with NOT having a collar that trump this 🙂

Not only do we worry about it, we have had it happen once. Rusty and Natasha were playing with Hu-Dad sitting just a couple of feet away. Rusty’s jaw got caught in Natasha’s collar. Rusty nearly broke his jaw and Natasha almost passed out from lack of air. It took all of Hu-Dad’s strength to separate them.

We immediately stopped wearing normal collars around the house, saving those for walking only. The collars you see us wear are break-away collars. If a jaw gets caught, the collar simply disconnects and drops to the ground. (P.S. – That is an Amazon affiliate link).

Hoping the entire herd had a wonderful Thanksgiving! (The ‘never miss a post’ banner at the top of the page obscured about 20% of the video with the window on full size. This is on a laptop.)

      It’s going away. We promise.

Hi and happy Thanksgiving to the herd and Hu-dad!
Just a comment on the new format for the site. I am on an iPhone with iOS 10. When I pull up your site, the box on the top, to subscribe, will not disappear or “X” out. As I’m already a subscriber I did not feel the need to utilize that box. As it will not disappear I cannot see your full webpage.
I continue to love to see your morning blogs so I hope that this can be fixed soon. If I’m doing something wrong please let me know.

Thanks for the feedback. Totally makes sense and we will try to get it fixed quickly. Unfortunately, Hu-Dad is a wee bit distracted today because he is entertaining Super Nephew!

It is gone tonight! Thx. Hope the entertaining went well!

Love him. I wish I could have a husky but I wouldn’t be able to afford the vet bills. And I have arthritis in my knees. I had one that I foster for 18 months he was a red loved him with all my heart. It was so hard to let him go when he got adopted. But it was the best for him.
