My Circus And My Monkeys

Have you ever heard the old Polish Proverb, “Not my circus, not my monkeys?” Hu-Dad could only watch yesterday and realized we are his monkeys.

How we are supposed to behave in a campsite.
How we are supposed to behave in a campsite.

Hu-Dad has all of these camping rules which include no singing in the campground, being nice to others, and so on. The newbie, Landon, has been on his best behavior until a rocking chair entered.

Look what I have.
Look what I have.

Some how, some way, Landon hooked one of Hu-Dad’s rocking chairs for human visitors and pulled it close. The plan was apparently to sit in the rocking chair.

Must get in chair.
Must get in chair.

Apparently, Landon never quite counted on the little detail that rocking chairs rock. Not to mention our picket line might be a little short for climbing. This effort went on for quite a while. Success, however, was quite elusive.

Stay still - circus.
Stay still.

Quite the monkey, huh? Which is what brought that old Polish Proverb to Hu-Dad’s mind. And the realization that the monkeys were all his.

Never give up.
Never give up.

I love these Way back Wednesdays and how Landon showed the persistence to get on furniture and his lack of skill since early on.

Camping with 1 can be a handful, but 6 is way more than that!! Love seeing Miss Kiska in the background. Landon was adorable in his chair. Happy days as usual.

Mom sez: When I look at Kiska looking at Landon, all I can see on her face, or rather, in a “bubble” above her head is, “Seriously, Landon? I somehow don’t think so!”

Hu dad is forgetting that anything he claims as his, is really the Herd’s! I love how Kiska is watching, as if she’s saying “are you kidding me”? Makes me think of the song “5 little monkeys jumping on the bed”!

Hudad seems to have forgotten the siberian rules. If I see it and want it, its mine!
