Didn’t See That Coming

Sometimes, things take a turn that you did not expect and all you can say is, “I didn’t see that coming.” Kiska had one of those moments yesterday.

Go for a ride in the Jeep? Sounds fun.

Go for a ride in the Jeep? Sounds fun.

Hu-Dad asked Kiska if she wanted to go for a Jeep ride and she enthusiastically said yes. She was even pleasantly surprised to discover that she had lots and lots of room in the Jeep since her brothers and sisters stayed back at Chez Herd.

I can really stretch out.

I can really stretch out.

She was all excited as we drove through the ranch and then down the mountain to the valley. In fact the whole ride was lots of fun until she realized just what the destination was.

Wait a minute. No one said anything about the vet, Didn't see that coming.

Wait a minute. No one said anything about the vet.

Never fear, the vet staff produced the magic elixir – commonly known as peanut butter – and Kiska flew through her exam with ease. All good results (lab results to come)!

We had a slightly similar story on Sunday. It was a little opposite but we piled all three of our dogs in the car (usually they never all get to go in the car). We then got to our destination where the humans proceeded to eat ice cream cones in front of the pups. Our pups were very confused as all it was was a car ride! No park, no vet, no ice cream!!
